Just because we are asking Dev to stand up for Sona does not mean we are asking him to ignore his mother. If we thought like that that none of us mothers will dare to even get their sons married. Here it is about Dev recognizing that he is married has responsibilities towards his new wife and learning to stand up when he needs to so that Easwari also understands what is happening. Instead in this show they show him not standing up for her when needed , always trying to pacify Easwari even though he is really not ignoring her . The way I see it the ball is in Dev's hands he needs wake up and see what is happening around him and take action.

There is saying in Tamil but I will translate in English when a cat closes its eyes it feels the whole world is sleeping. So just because we choose to be oblivious to our surroundings it does not make it true

Thanks again for a beautiful post
thank u so much dear...

like u said the ball is in dev's court so he needs to play it...playing the dumb husband wont get him anywhere...tmrw wen sona will need his support regarding pregnancy or prenup he needs to speak up even if he has to go against his mom...

first of all he needs to put his mom down from that pedestal where he has placed...let that place be for actual god and not ishwari who is a very much flawed human being...once he see her that way he will also learn to speak where necessary...

i have just one question, why hasnt Dev yet seen the difference in his attitude towards him and his sisters. I am also waiting for him to mature. And when is someone going to show a mirror to Neha.
Although i used to like her character initially.

neha is one character with whom i cant relate anymore...wen nikki the other day was asking her that even she did not listen to ma then she is always upset with sona...neha answered that she is in this state today because she did not listen to ma before...

very conveniently she forgot that it was dev who was against marriage with ranveer because he knew his sister cannot adjust with lower middle class family...and it was ishwari who was always lecturing her that if u love ranveer then things will work out so go and marry him...

today she is upset with sona because she thinks sona is happy with her husband while she is not...moreover she thinks sona has captured dev all for herself leaving no space for anyone else...

even before sona came into his life it was dev and ishwari with noone else...neha and her sisters were always outside the realm of dev ishwari...neha still feels secluded but now she blames that on sona...
again v convenient of her...isnt it neha who once said that ishwari doesnt allow anyone between herself and dev not even her daughters...then how can neha think ishwari will allow sona to step in between her and dev...

if sona is fighting to make place in dev's life then neha shud be supporting her since this is the same kind of feeling she felt all her life that she has been excluded from dev-ishwari world...

but today neha is acting like the jealous nanad...i never got the attention of my brother so u wont too...i am not happy with my marriage so u wont too...

Excellent points. Ishwari crossed the boundary of a mother many times and encroached in Sonakshi's right as a wife. Today all her speech only had I. Sonakshi said Dev wanted her to rest. But even though she claims to love Dev, her speech is "I wanted this. My happiness in this".

And as you mentioned, her desire for grandkids some day was natural. But the reason she wanted grand children RIGHT NOW was to divert Sonakshi's attention from Dev to her children. I wonder what exactly did she expect to happen with Dev's attention? Did she think Dev will ignore his children and run after her stroking her ego? What kind of selfish mother puts pressure on her son so that her daughter-in-law keeps busy and her son runs after her? Disgusting!!!

makes me wonder y ishwari is demanding grandkids...she was genuinely wanting before gkb gv that disgusting idea...but i wonder y she at all wants grandkids if only she wants to separate them from their dad...

i mean somewhere at the back of her mind she is expecting a divorce between dev and sona...and if that happens she will use those prenup paper where she has conditioned that sona and her kids will hv no right over dev's property...

like u said ishwari's only goal in life is that dev will come to her every night to stroke her ego...in the last episode he went running to ishwari immediately after his fever went down and said thinhs like ur lap is heaven...
wat disgusts me is that y these kind of men at all marry...

Dev... Dev and his lessons??!! 🤪😆
He fails to take any lesson even from his painful moments... Situations keep repeating for him unless he takes his lesson... Alas, he's too busy to regret the situation instead of taking any lesson from it... 😆
Why? Because he has a reason to back it up... His love for his mother... Poor guy what will he do if the women in his life are so adamant on getting his attention for themselves... After all everyone should be proud that he's the most wanted guy in his house... 😆 And all the women should be privileged to even get a glimpse from the business magnet, as a loving son, brother, husband... 😉😳

lol i love ur emoticons 😆😆

dev surely needs lessons...his sissy act is making me mad...

I think Dev will stand up for his wife in the pregnancy issue. It is a big issue and only he knew about it. Sona is absolutely not in fault as she had no inkling about her report. If he can't stand up for Sona now on this issue then I don't see much point in Sona living in this household and face more derogatory insults.
The reason why Dev went to his mom in the morning was to assuage his mom. He is very considerate son. He thinks Sona is strong so he does not bother much. But he should know that sometimes even strongest persons need another person by his/her side.

The problem is that the very few times when he sided with his wife, his mother took him to a major guilt trip and changed his outlook. In a joint family when an insecure MIL is constantly hovering there is not much scope of understanding between hubby and wife. So a major jhatka is needed to wake up the husband from the deep slumber. Hope the pregnancy issue is that trigger!
