Just because we are asking Dev to stand up for Sona does not mean we are asking him to ignore his mother. If we thought like that that none of us mothers will dare to even get their sons married. Here it is about Dev recognizing that he is married has responsibilities towards his new wife and learning to stand up when he needs to so that Easwari also understands what is happening.
