As much as we all hated that he used Sahil to get what he wanted, there's nothing else he cld've possibly hold that wld make Annika agree to do such a marriage, yes it was cruel to show her the car explode but he knows Annika very well. he knows words and empty treats won't get him anywhere with her, from what I understood he went to that extreme to shook whatever faith she may had in him as human being (that he wldn't do anything like that) he needed to scare her and to show her that he's capable of far more worse actions if needed, after seeing that car explode right in front of her eyes, the pain she felt at that moment thinking that Sahil was gone, that's what he needed. now even if her heart doesn't wanna believe he's capable her mind will doubt and she won't be willing to take that risk, he needed to scare her beyond she cld ever imagine he cld.
But after she run towards the car it come very real to him, I mean he did NOT anticipate what he witnessed, since he knew it wasn't real I don't think he thought much about how she wld react, the way he run after her screaming her name, the genuine expression of fear he had on his face that was real, he forget everything he was doing for a moment, even afterwards when he caught her and let her hit him for a bit, the way he said He's fine but just as long as i want him, it was softer than his usual dhamkis. 😆 I loved the scene after that where she hits and shakes him and he let's her get it out and then comforts her, it was as he was a completely different person, the crazy man who went to such extreme to make her marry him was just gone.I loved the episode to the core.
