Respecting the National Anthem is a duty of all citizens. I dont get the connection between making it compulsory to be played in theaters which is a place of entertainment? Yes a sense of national pride is much needed in today's generation but isnt their place of education or work a better option? Make them devote time for nation building, that should inculcate sense of national pride into them. Play the anthem in sports meet, talent competitions, etc.

What happens if the movie being played is a sleazy adult movie or a HW sci fic or say an animation?

Respect the Supreme Court but there should be a rationale behind this step. The part where they have talked about playing it for effect and all is justified.

But also many people sometime forget they r Indian...atleast just to remind them u r still Indian , i think it is necessary for that 30% group

Its very painful task to stand for national anthem that too once in a month or may be couple of time in a 6 month, its involves lot of sacrifice 60 second will be like 60 year, how can one go without food, drink or gossip for 60 second thats bad decision.

Lol secularism means valuing humanity above religion or country right?? But nowadays secularism has become all about hating the govt, supporting the ones who cry for bharat ki barbadi in the name of freedom of speech or rona dhona over a terrorist's death or showing distrust for ur own army... 👏

Instead of focusing on important cases affecting people actually they too are busy doing stuff that gets the focus on them everyone wants publicity somewhere🥱
