The hero tossing the heroine, demeaning her, pushing her around, blackmailing her, who once was 'independent, strong, opinionated' according to him, whose 'presence' would be felt by the hero , is just like the situation where you are eating 'Rabdi' and later you find that in all its sweetness, you never realized it was poisoned by someone. And then, that kills you slowly and silently.

Shivaay Singh Oberoi is the Rabdi here, Shivaay Singh Oberoi is the poison here and Shivaay Singh Oberoi is the one killing himself, his goodness that was perhaps awakened ephemerally by Anika.

Television has a great impact on the audience , and showing such rampant violence is like encouraging it, it's not even romantic. It's like saying to the audience that your 'izzat' is everything and other's 'izzat' doesn't exist. For your 'izzat', you can always manhandle a lady and be glad that you saved your ass.

I mean, come on. This is so regressive. Back in the QH days, people filed complaints for showing a lady torturing other elder lady. I have not been able to understand why is Gul so fond of violence. Its like showing the people violence is the only way you can get your work done. In that case, Mallika's beau was 100 times better, didn't try to find a replacement , and though humiliating it was, resorted to let the truth out than these kind of gimmicks.

P.S. And you know what's bad, even after such a disgusting track going on, I am waiting for the next episode, waiting for Gul to mend her thinking and as to what she is showing on screen.

Gul will never "mend her thinking". If that was going to happen, would have happened years ago. Even I saw that old lady torturing scenes and after a point I was totally sickened by it. I found out some people in India had filed a complaint. In fact, complaints were filed against other scenes on that show too, and even upheld. The makers had to put an apology once and even had to put disclaimers when showing violent scenes and superstitious scenes with witches etc. That show did have a lot of violence. Mostly done by females to other females or anyone for that matter. It was so twisted.

But those characters were Villains and still got complaints, because the violence was too much. In this case, this is the supposed Hero, and when the Hero does these things people are supposed to applaud? What is "Izzat?". Is it saving your OWN skin at the expense of others? Having NO regard for another person's honor, just your own? What sort of people behave this way? Shivaay's Dadi, who is shown as such a positive woman, never taught her grandson any manners? It's too shocking how this producer glorifies bad behavior as Cool! Her comments on Social media indicates she is very excited by her male lead's awful acts! I have no words for her. She is the limit!

At least other producers don't go to social media and act like a teenager. All gushing and going on. It's embarrassing.

Dadi is disgusting for supporting such a marriage even after he threatened to rape n kill her brother. No wonder Shivaay is her grandson n she has such dysfunctional family. Instead of arranging for their divorce herself to help Anika n also to make arrangements for Sahil n Anika's safety 4m her family she is pushing Anika n Shivaay into dis marriage wid her emotional blackmail n using God n destiny. No wonder why women suffering domestic violence can't come out of such marriage. Its only cuz of people like dadi who don't see d damage done by her grandson. She only cares abt her takkar ka pyaar n ishqbaazi nonsense not abt a girl's feelings. Lets see if she lets Priyanka get married to a man like Shivaay. Shivaay deserves to be in jail instead of wid Anika.

True that. Dadi also has her layers of hypocrisy. She is basically encouraging Anika to spend her life with a person who has not even an iota of respect for her. Had she been a realistic character, she would have let the divorce happen, and obviously would not have forced them into a relation.(which can't happen in the show lest it should be over). And after knowing what Shivaay did with Annika and Sahil, Dadi should have SLAPPED Shivaay, and should have given him an earful of scolding.

Shivaay's childhood would also have been the same. Nobody to scold him when he did wrong, nobody to guide him on the right path. Because his mum was busy saying 'mere heere jaisa beta' and there isnt much of a dynamics between him and his father Shakti. He could have got rid of his 'khoon, khaandaan' jaap had the jaap been stopped right when it started surfacing in his behaviour.

And you are right, Dadi's always into her takkar ki Ishqbaazi thing. Many-a-time, she doesn't ensure that her grandsons should be scolded if they are wrong. Woww. Quite an 'ameeron wala behaviour'. The Oberoi khaandaan always try to hide the mistakes rather than coming out in open and rectifying them, just like Shivaay hid Anika uder the veil and married her.

I would have loved Dadi scolding Shivaay and showing him the mirror, but alas, thats too much to ask from a Gul Khan show.
