Chapter 2
"He is out of danger", the doctor said breaking Naira's thoughts, a smile appeared on her lips as the words left her mouth.
"Can I go meet him", Naira asked
"Yes but he is still unconscious but don't worry he will gain conscious by morning", the doctor replied.

Naira went to his room, she looked at the person lying on the bed with all the love she had. She went up closer to him caressed his cheeks, she bent down and kissed his forehead, moved her lips to his hears and whispered, "I love you, don't ever leave me", a tear drop rolled down her eyes as she spoke the words letting all her fears out in that single tear.

Naitik came to the hospital and told Naira that Akshara was found no where near that area.
"I called home as well, even at Maheshwari house but no one has any idea where Akshara is, the officer said they would question Karthik once he is conscious to see if he knows anything", Naitik spoke
"Mumma thik toh hogi", Naira asked
"Yes princess she will be absolutely fine", Naitik assured
"How is Karthik?", questioned Naitik
"He is out of danger, but still unconscious", Naira replied
"He will gain conscious soon", Naitik assured her keeping a hand on her shoulder answering his daughter's unansked question.

Morning came, Naira wanted to stay back at the hospital but Naitik denied the request and told her to go back home and rest and promised to bring her back early in the morning as possible. But then got late as the police had arrived for questioning.

Karthik gained conscience the doctors checked him and announced he was perfectly okay and could be discharged in an hour. Also told him not to drink and drive the drive the next time, which Karthik didn't understand at first, then he realized his friend might have spiked his drink as he remembered the different taste of the cold drink.
When Karthik was alone in the room thinking about how the accident occurred, he remembered the phone call and him driving fast, wanting to meet her thinking about her and than crashing into the trees to miss a passing car, he then felt something vibrate under his head, pushed his hand under the pillow and found a phone, he didn't recognize it. It vibrated in his hand this time, he noticed that the name which flashed on it read Karthik Goenka, so he picked it up wondering who could be calling.
"Hello", spoke Karthik
"What are you thinking how can Karthik Goenka call you when you are Karthik Goenka. Main Karthik Goenka nahi hun, I just saved this number by that name on the phone in your hands so that you pickup my call when I call you. I had taken so much risk to sneak into your room and place the phone there and if you hadn't picked up I would be very disappointed.", a mechanical girly voice sounded as if the voice had been modified.
"Who are you", asked Karthik an unknown fear gripping his heart.
"Someone who can take away all the happiness of the girl you love", the voice was now high pitched and manly.
"Keep her out of this, do with me anything you like, but don't harm a hair on her head", Karthik threatened but he was choking on his words.
"Don't worry I won't let a single scratch upon her, but I will take away every single person she loves, every single thing that she lives for, I will make sure she begs for death and she never gets it. Don't think I am just all words I have already carried my word starting with her beloved mother. Don't you believe me, why don't you ask your little lover where is her mother and she will tell you that she is missing, but I will tell you that she dead.", the voice said which was changed again it sounded deep, hollow and scarry.
Karthik felt himself gasping for air as the information reached his ears. He had lost his mother once again and this time she had lost hers too and she didn't even know it.
"I took away one I can take away more, her father, her brother, her chachi, her grandma, her grandfather, one by one. But you can stop me if you want. All you have to do is pay a little price. Something very small for the girl you love", the voice was now sickly sweet.
"What", was the only thing Karthik managed to let out lf his mouth, he still wasn't over the shock that Akshara could be gone forever.
"Your life lover boy. All you have to do is say that your ma'am met with an accident by your car. You take the blame and make sure you a death sentence or life imprisonment as a punishment. I want you away from your love and your death this is the only way I can assure it.", the mechanical voice spoke
"Why not just kill me first?", he choked on his words as they escaped his mouth.
"You would be out of this world but still in her heart, if I did so. I will ask you again, are you willing to pay the price", the voice replied again changed
"I will pay the price, but how do I know that you want back track on your own words", asked Karthik cautious.
"I think I will take her father from her as well and then you can decide", a deep thundering voice replied a chill would run down the strongest human's spine if they heard it.
"I will do as you say but if anything happens to my Naira or her family, I will make your life miserable", Karthik warned.
"Bye for now loverboy, any call on this phone you get will be mine and if you try any tricks, I assure you hell will break loose for your beloved.", The voice sounded a last time and the call ended.
Karthik lay frozen, his heartbeat raced faster than ever, he had no idea what just happened. The woman who had treated him like her Son had supposedly lost her life, the girl who he loved so dearly had lost her mother after attaining her love after seven long years. The worst was he had to go up and take the blame, he didn't care for punishment death or imprisonment didn't matter, but the tears that would roll down her eyes knowing her lover killed her mother is what scared him. Seeing the trust she has for him break is what made his heart thump so loudly, but he would have to do it. For Her.

A while later Naitik and Naira entered with the police, who came along to question Karthik.
"Mr Goenka, Can you tell me what exactly you were doing on that spot and how did this accident happen and do you know anything about where Mrs Akshara Singhania might be", the officer asked
"I was going to meet my girlfriend, I was drunk, I was driving fast, suddenly I saw ma'am, I mean Mrs Singhania infront of me, I applied the breaks a second late and hit her before crashing into the tree", he said calmly Naitik and Naira both looked shocked as the words left his mouth. Naitik's look was murderous but Naira's was well focused, she looked into Karthik's eyes, it didn't hold an ounce of guilt, but exhibited pain and extreme fear. No matter what even if unintentionally ne would have been guilty of the crime and that would have reflected on his entire face, but not a single hint of guilt was to be seen not even in his eyes that mirrored the feelings of his heart. He was hiding something, she knew it at once.
