Brutality at its worst

What did I see Today? It was so disturbing. I know nand is a bad guy and he deserved a death but so brutal? My heart went out to nandini.

I agree, it was disturbing almost the things you might see out of a horror movie
Certainly if he had died on the battlefield that would atleast have given the context in which it occurred but that fact that it felt like merciless murder especially drawing them into a trap was unsettling.
On the plus side however it does show Chandra in a less favourable light and by drawing out the darker shades makes him a little more 3d as a character, he's not perfect in light of laws of human nature.

I think Ekta is trying to make Chandra a heartless villain rather the Emperor of Magadh and The Founder of Maurya Dynasity

I agree its nt fair nandini ko bhaiyo ko nahi marna chahiye tha but agar chandra usske bhaiyo ko nahi marta in future dont u think unn bhaiyo mei se ek chandra se apne dad ke revenge lene ke sochta ? chandra kyu itna bada risk chor de jo in future uss ke jaan pe khatra ho

I think this brutality is purely justified from Chandragupta's place; showing mercy or giving him a less horrifying and less painful death would not pacify the grudge and revenge that he had stored against him... also giving Nand an easy death would not symbolise the gravity of the end of his autocracy and cruelty.

In ancient India brutality was much more than today, so perhaps it's tough to accept. In a certain Historical story the defeated cruel king was punished by chopping off his hands and legs and keeping him hanging at the entrance of Pataliputra alive... Chandra was kind to Nand by killing him.

Though I expected Moora punishing Nand in front of the whole state, and not in a dark cave... But I think this way they are trying to leave a hole open to return him in future in case they run out of ideas.😆

Killing him in front of Nandini is terrible for her, but that moment Chandra and Chanakya are not supposed to keep Nandini's presence in account.

Its not a matter of cruelty or brutality... but a matter of politics... if one wants to conquer and rule over someone else's kingdom, then he has to get rid off all the other claimants to the throne... or else his own hold on the throne will be shaky... and the defeated Nand clan if let off alive would have not sat quietly..

Even Ashoka ascended the throne after his brothers were killed..

Firstly I don't agree with nandini getting punished for her dad's deeds like how Moora said before the birth of nandini.Why should she face it all ? Jo kare wahi bhuktey not his family. I thought the whole chandra killing all her brother was disgusting too. Since ekta has manipulated the entire serial she should have shown a little humanity in The Great Chandra Gupt Maurya.

The whole scratches on nand's body was so stupid. A warrior doesn't kill like that.

All is all I am just numb to think about the story and stuff. Today's scene made me feel horrible.

I don't know how a love story can be formed between chandra and nandini after she saw him kill her father so brutally.
