Sunjoy Wadhwa is one who left his old business and is now a big name in the TV entertainment sector having formed Sphere Origin aving exported perfumes and handicraft articles for 14 long years, Sunjoy Wadhwa turned producer and established a production house Karnik Communications in April 1997. A graduate from HR college of Commerce & Economics with a stint in Law, Wadhwa's qualifications prepared him for a business career which in fact he embarked upon as an exporter of Indian handcrafted products. He took up a full-time career in the media and entertainment industry and launched his first TV serial on Neeyat for Zee Network. He also made Phir Se a tele film for Sahara One. Wadhwa was instrumental in building up and bringing the fame of the company within a short span of three years and was a major factor in the success of the company. He completely handled all the affairs of the company, which included formatting and conceptualisation of new shows. His involvement was also in designing complete production and looking into the creative aspect of the programmes along with the writers and directors. He set up the entire business of the company in the field of television programming and extensively did quality work with the best of talent in the film and television industry. He shares a good rapport with various people who are an integral part of the film and serial production. He was the driving force behind the dynamic ideas of the company. As a TV producer, Sunjoy had almost six shows running simultaneously on different channels. Sunjoy's first launching successful venture was Neeyat on Zee TV. The subject dealt with the intricacies of the film industry along with a very strong under current emotional drama of a mother and daughter. This followed with another impressionable serial Ek Mulaqat on STAR TV, which was one of the serials selected by STAR TV when they launched their full-time Hindi programming. The family drama of high notes was based on a Rajasthan backdrop with colourful costumes and characters carrying a very bold message of surrogate motherhood. Wadhwa's Aatish that was a follow-up on STAR TV gained popularity because of its unique concept and story of two twin sisters surrounded by the mystique of planetary effect on them, making one a sinister, psychic killer. This serial won the best actress award in the Screen Awards for the year 2000. Wadhwa was instrumental in successfully launching Arth on Zee TV. It had a beautifully crafted subjects dealing with family drama and relationship of a stepmother with her kids from the first marriage of her husband. In unfolding twists and turns of tear jerking and high voltage drama storyline was very close to real life, which was impeccably handled by Sunjoy's selected team of artists and technicians to give it a perfection in technique and glossy look. The mega Arabian night fantasy and costume drama Thief Of Baghdad was well-acclaimed on Zee TV and its overseas telecast is like a feather in the cap of Wadhwa. Shot on lavish scale and large canvas this subject had one of the finest graphics and special effects. It is one of the best mounted and a successful serial produced and telecast on Zee TV.
