Is Dev so wrong today? I felt the action is justified, Dev has been shown extremely "devoted" to his mother. So he will try to fulfill every wish of his mother.

Even I do not call my mil as mom.. mom tho mom hoti hai. No matter how much you care for your partner and your in laws. They cannot be your parents. So I do not think it is big deal if Dev does not call his mil as mom compared to the other crazy things he has done. I am more shocked at how shocked people are.

The problem is not "not calling Maa"... THe problem is "STOP calling Maa because your original Maa is hurt"... if he had called Aunty from the beginning, no one would have bothered...

But going from Aunty to Maa and back to Aunty is disrespecting...

As if it is as Dr Bose ... Ms Bose... Mrs Dixit and back to Dr. Bose

I know everyone doesn't call their MIL mom... And that's absolutely fine... The forum members are not upset with it.

First of all, it has to be Dev's own choice and even if it is not... The matter here is, Dev is calling Asha mom ever since DevAkshi wedding got fixed and all of a sudden when he will stop calling her that, i think somewhere Asha maa will feel disheartened or atleast weird.

Of course Dev would bring the world of happiness to his mothers feet

his promise that he makes is a blind one what will he do if both Sona and Asha notices he refrains from his wife's mother as maa

okay fine he can make a suitable excuse that's not a major problem

I was disappointed in the fact that he tells his mother calling Asha as maa was a mistake why suddenly a mistake that is been disrespectful

so if Sona says she has made a grave mistake in calling Ishwari as maa you think Dev will not be upset that his wife cannot respect his mother

Yes, Its not required to call mil as maa, it differs from person to person...

But, here Dev called Asha as maa, and he regret for calling like that without any fault of her.

Even, i would be ok, if Dev told Ishwari that hereafter he will not address Asha as his maa... But regretting and apologizing(considering it as a mistake) for calling her as maa, is totally uncalled rite??

This is what bothers especially started believing that Dev's character is showing some progress after marriage, but it again back to square one...

agree with u dear..even i wont call my mil as maa it is my decision no one compelled me call my mill as maa or aunty but in dev's case he himself addressed asha as maa no one asked him to do so not even sona if he had called asha as auntyji from the beginning its ok no one will question him.here is the point is infront of his mother he forget everything and everyone around him including sona that hurts more

the main problem is that he was saying calling asha as a maa is his mistake. its disrespectful. to make feel his mother is important he completely insulted his wife mother.

Calling ma or mom or aunty is not the thing

Saying that it was mistake is the problem...such a let down by dev...

I dont think i can ever like him again

Last 10 seconds were not ok with me.
But still I agree to u on onething.
Dev character sketch is like this..
He becomes blind , insane when two most inportant women of his life is ignoring him or mad on him..
He will do anything to bring happiness back on their face...
And when its Ishwari -the craziness doubled
