Anyhoo. Will still wait to see how that scene is justified in the show.

I really don't understand why I cannot be a ShivIka fan and an ObBros fan at once, and criticize (note, criticize- which is not synonymous with bashing) the characters when they display their absurdity- be it Anika, Shivaay, Om or Rudra. I find this defensiveness very off-putting and this is one of the reasons why I have limited the time spent on this forum.

I am surprised that you are agreeing with me -Amri-. More so that you find this forum's defensiveness off putting, cause I clearly remember you and some of your 'friends' going to others topic which had no connection to your favorite couple or the trio brothers, with a sense of responsibility to defend your ship and put down others. You people didn't stop even when the Thorne of your criticism was removed from show. You went to each topic makers post and gave your valuable contribution which worked like a salt on wound. Now you are agreeing to someone who said about not going to posts which contradicts yours? Where was this realization in those times -Amri-? Maybe the veil of adulation was too long to see?

I have seen how you limited your time here, you don't post like once you used to. Maybe it should have been satisfactory for me who once used to be an ardent reader of your writing and thought you as nice person, but all I feel is a sense of loss. I guess there's no difference between online and real world, the feeling of betrayal runs deep in both worlds. I hope you all the best, -Amri-, truly.

Dosent make sense to be angry at OmRu when it's Shivaay who is firm on marrying Tia for whatever reason like his stand about khoon khandaan and what not. He decided to get married despite his love for Anika, so why blame others?

Its good to see this convo still continuing.
It feels nice to see that all of us still remember the original show- a show which was about 3 brothers bonded not just because of their blood but because they actually do complete each other.
There used to be a time , once upon a time, in this show when the brothers used to be ek dusre Ke zaroori hisse but sadly that has changed now..

No matter what shivay will always be invested in his brothers' lives. However we also need to accept that omru's characters will never have the same importance or impact..
That is why they won't have any intelligent decision-making here.

Most probably anika would fashion some last minute miracle like daily soap bahus are wont to do.
If omru do something I ,for one ,would be pleasantly surprised..

What decision has Shivaaye taken for OmRu? Rudra is married and Shivaaye doesn't knows it, Om took drugs despite the knowledge of the fact that Shivaaye wont like it. Since the story focusses more on Shivika you might feel that Shivaaye takes decisions on their brothers behalf, but practically it has not been theh case in the show. if Shivaaye saved Om from police when Roop was plotting against Om, then Om fought with his dad and literally burnt the papers which made him more important in the business than Shivaaye
The brothers complete each other but not force each other, they remain together whether or not they like each other's decisions, they support each others decision and OmRu are still doing that

I agree shipreeta to an extent though. Because whether or not shivay takes any decisions for omru , it still can't be denied that he is shown to be invested in their lives and has been shown to more involved in their lives.
Now , contrary to popular opinion , I would reitirate that it is fruitless to expect similar investment and development for omru.
No matter what, they will never be as focussed on as the eldest couple , therefore their actions and inactions in the story progression too will be limited.

I agree that their interactions and actions could be limited, but it has been clearly shown that all three are equally invested in the lives of each other

I think each brother is going to be highlighted as things happen in their lives. I have said before that it is "SHIVIKA" that is on the roller-coaster ride of their lives right now and have almost reached their destination where they will step off and slow down.
Marriage and after will be interesting but less intense.
"RUMYA" have just queued up to take their place as their ride starts next.
"OM???" as you can see has not even reached the fairground yet ... lol
There is not even a name to ship Om with yet
It is good if it progresses this way as we get to enjoy each brothers journey when that happens with just a little 'masala' from the other 2😉

First of all, I respect that you liked my writing. I am barely acquainted with you, and I have not really interacted with you online either. I really wish I had, because it would have been quite a good exchange of ideas I guess. 😊 But at the same time I don't think I can comprehend this "betrayal" you are speaking about- since I don't really "know" you, even as much as people can know each other on online fora. So- pardon me if I don't get that. For someone who claims to "know" me so well, I don't recall interacting with you or even coming across your comments on my posts. Anyhoo. 😳

Hmm, the thorn that you speak about. Well, I am not going to defend myself, considering that I am perfectly clear as far as my conscience is concerned. The day the character in question was removed from the show, I commiserated with the character/actor's fans and even wrote in the Hotstar thread that it will be a loss for the show. As far as my replies in certain threads were concerned- it was a reply to a poster making a post about how she would watch another show on the same time slot, in a manner befitting of a child throwing a tantrum. I felt that the topic was irrelevant to our show in general, and hence the remark in that particular post.

Hmm, i do wish i could care more about this perceived betrayal that you speak about, but...I don't. In any case, i am glad that you enjoyed my writing, as long as that lasted. I wish you well too:)
