Today's episode was filled with Ishwari chaap Hypocrisy... If anyone else thinks that Ishwari loves Sonakshi like her children, today will be an eye opener for everyone. Do watch it.

Ishwari to Sona: When plant leaves old soil and come to new soil it needs to leave it's attachment to its old soil. Sort out your fight in your in-laws. Don't carry it to your parents' house.

Me: Really Ishwari? Did you give the same advice to Neha? She seems to think it's perfectly fine to carry out her marital problem to her maika? If Sona had kept her fight to Dixit house, she would be preparing for her divorce right now as well just like you managed to help your daughter with her divorce.

Sona brings Jhoola. Radha tries to incite Ishwari. But she wants Sona to get into trouble with Dev. So she is just fine with it in front of Sona because she is hoping Dev will get upset.

Dev comes home and Ishwari approaches him for Riya's alliance which will only happen if Riya approves.

Me: Wah Ishwari. How generous!!! But Ishwari, how could you arrange Riya's wedding when Neha is getting divorce? I mean when you will do wedding shopping and wedding planning, won't Neha get upset? I mean as far as I know wedding shopping and planning lasts way longer and in way more details than honeymoon shopping and planning. Don't you love Neha anymore? Don't your heart bleed for Neha any longer?

Sona is excited to show Dev her jhoola. Dev is not that excited to see that he actually has to keep his hasty promise this time, but since Sona is happy, he can't get too upset because he agreed to share their room with his wife who also has equal right to be comfortable in their bedroom.

They were spending time with each other, so of course Neha has to stroll in (bedroom thodi hai, garden hai) and Neha relays Ishwari's (or her own) sarcastic comment whether they will eat here or in Bose house and Dev got hurt

Me: Dev, save your hurt for later. When you actually see your mother's true face (preferably in this lifetime), you will have truck load of hurt waiting for you to tackle. By the way, this is your mom's true face. How long can the poor thing hide her true self in front of you?

Sona asks Dev's sisters if Dev liked the swing.

Me: Uh Sona, I get it you got married recently and all. But here's a priceless tips from a happily married woman. It's okay for a wife to have something the husband doesn't like and it's okay for a husband to have something the wife doesn't like. You won't ever find a couple who have identical choices in every single thing. Having a healthy relationship means that there might be something you don't like that the other one like, but you put up with it because the other person likes it.

Example: I don't see the point why one man (my husband) needs the playstation and xbox at the same time (They play the same freaking game anyway). But I keep my mouth shut.

My husband doesn't get it why I need different shades of same colour tops in my wardrobe (how many pink tops does one person need. I wear one at a time anyway), but he doesn't say anything about it.

Similarly, you don't like his sparsely furnished monochromatic room, yet he never asks whether you like it.

And he may not like your jhoola, but you don't need to know if he likes it or not to have it in your room.

Sona stupidly asks Ishwari if Dev will like the jhoola. So Ishwari throws in her taunt, how does she not know Dev's choice?

Me: Sona, stop your idiocy and start taking decision about two of you on your own. Where did you independent nature go?

And Ishwari, she may not know Dev's decor choices, but she knows how to be a wife. On the other hand, you don't know how to be a mother, let alone a compassionate person. So if I have to bet, she may learn Dev's preference in decor one day soon, but you have a long way to learn to be a mother or a compassionate human being. You might have fooled some people, but you haven't fooled me.

On dining table, Sona finds out that Riya's wedding discussion is going on.

Dev feels Ishwari's unhappiness. But when he asked Ishwari, she makes sarcastic comment with her typical miserable expression so that Dev gets curious enough to bug, but she can keep claiming nothing is wrong and can prolong the attention or in shudh desi language, bhav!!!

Now let me remind you of my Friday's post. I wrote, Ishwari's concern for Dev and Sona's safety was not the reason of her outburst. She doesn't give two hoots about Sona and when Dev used to come home late night from work, she never wondered what might be happening to Dev..

Her reason for the outburst was her fear that Dev will like Asha more and the moment she walked in Bose house, her expression gave it away seeing Dev bonding with Asha.

Today Ishwari admitted it in front of the only person she doesn't lie to - her brother because only he sees her clearly.

But when Mamaji tried to convince her that there is nothing wrong with a man behaving with his in-laws the way he expects his wife to behave with hers, while she didn't agree with him or changed her mind, but made sure he doesn't tell it to Dev. Can't get that Goddess halo tarnished. That's her USP in this house.

Riya is excited for her upcoming wedding. But she is worried about Neha being upset. So Neha tells her that she will be happy if the groom is rich just like Sona is happy because Dev is rich.

Nikki darling, you absolutely hit the nail on the head when you said this house is cursed for honeymoon. But don't worry, that curse is only on your brother, not on you sisters. It's called "Mother's concern" which your brother got and you guys don't. So lucky no?

Me: Really Neha? Then there is no lack of rich groom. Why don't you line up a happiness for you instead of moping around here? If that's all it takes, your brother is rich enough to get a rich man for you. But what am I telling you? Had your mother spent two seconds to fix your thinking, you'd have been happy already. But she is busy trying to make her son miserable.

Ishwari calls Dev to come help her as the groom's family is arriving for alliance. He is busy and tells Ishwari to call Sona for help and Ishwari hangs up her phone.

Dev: Maa is so worried.

Me: Yes, she is so worried that her position of power might be taken away from her.

Precap: The groom's family arrives. Sona wasn't informed (*snort*). Sona comes and asks Ishwari why she was not informed.

Ishwari: Dev didn't come and even if you are not there, what does it matter? Everything is going fine, isn't it?

Me: Yes, as long as Dev's money is present, his wife and him don't need to be there. Sona, why are you still asking stupid questions? Your brain is yet to catch up to your position in Dixit house? Why do women ignore their sixth sense constantly? Sometimes that's the most reliable alarm bell you got.

Can I add some random thoughts here?

Dev, you are indispensable in your mother's life. You better print this, laminate it and put various reminders around your office... The pair of them are hilarious. Love how they can easily wind each other up. I can only laugh at this. It's so bad. Why would she call your wife when all she wants to do is have you around ? Sensible thing would have been to plan your conference around the visit

However, Dev, can I kiss you... muah! Thank you Dev for telling Sona the truth kindly/mildly about the jhoola. Stay like this. See this is how sensible couples behave. This is what a "Relationship goal" should be. It shouldn't be saying one thing and doing the other. I am glad you told her that it was for her happiness. Good on you. Thanks for speaking Sona's love language.

Ishwari, I thought sanskari families like showcasing their bahus to prospective groom's family. Chalo, atleast Sona is freed of that duty... no no no... not yet... Sona being sona will now meddle with that.

I can't even muster the energy to deal with all the sulking from Neha, RR and bangalan comment and double standards of Ishwari. okay.. let me try!

Why doesn't Sona open her mouth and ask Iswari about her double standards? This is what I really hate about the show. She is an educated independent lady and she gotta have some self esteem. If someone (my in laws or anyone) talk like that infornt of me or my parents i would have given her stomach full. No hope from Dev, at least Sona needs to stand up for herself.. Stop being sweet

Seriously hypocrisy thy name is Ishwari and today's frustrating episode was filled with it. Ish taunts Sona abt taking fights to her house, when Neha has been doing the same for so long. Why didnt Sona open her mouth about this. Why she always goes on sorry mode. Ish has 3 daughters, n she thinks daughters can't come home n talk abt their married life. Why Sona apologised to Neha...why can't' she reply back to Neha about going to bose house for dinner comment. Ish again went to competitive mode that Ish knows Dev much btr than Sona.

But more than Ish, I am angry with Sona today for not saying anything after GBK's bengali comment...whats wrong with her. She is more worried abt that jhoola than her self respect. For a moment I thought Dev wud reply back to GKB but he can only see his mother's drama. And when Sona asked those questions about Riya's wedding, Dev shud have given the details to Sona then if he forgot previously. But he was just worried about his Mother. Well don't have much expectationa from Dev but disappointed with Sona today.

May I add another random thought to your. ? random thought? What is this Sona's desperate need to create Asha and Dida relationship goals with Ishwari? Why doesn't she focus on Bijoy and Asha's relationship and make that her life goal? Does Asha constantly flutter around everyone asking if Bijoy would like whatever she is doing? No. She is confident that whatever makes him happy will make Bijoy happy and if for some reason Bijoy does not like something, well he got a mouth. He can speak for himself?

When Dev validated already that he is happy that Sona is happy why does she is running around asking for approval stamp on Dev's behalf?

Doormat banogi to kya log tumko sar pe bithayenge?

Is kyun ka koi jawab nehin. Why did an independent, strong woman turned door mat overnight? Because it's tele land and Bahu gotta be TRP aunty approved.

I'd have given a strong response too. But just like you, I actually brought my personality with me after marriage. Unlike Sona who left it in Bose house for their use.

I think sona has lost her self confidence ,this why she needed validation from her husband for happiness ,After breakup sona had once said how she can't trust her own choices .She not being herself right now.I thought CV's will show this when infertility track will be there . May be that will be her final straw she will completely breakdown ,than Dev has to man up for sonakshi 😕 This is my version but I don't what CV's trying to portray here ,😕"Bengali bahu" comment was so uncalled for.

You see, the thing about self-respect is that the respect needs to come from yourself first. If you don't respect your own self and let others treat you like doormat, then why would anyone else respect you? The less you demand respect, the more leeway they get.

When Dev looked at Radha in irritation, I thought here we go, he will respond to the racist comment. But no. He ran after his mother. Why? Because she never lets anyone forget her respect or rights.

You want respect and your rights, Sona? Here's a brilliant idea... Don't settle for less.

Ishwari n hypocrisy now seem to b synonyms ...i at tyms really wonder wat does she really want ...
Wen she said paudhe ko purani mitti kal moh chodna padta h ...i was like nayi mitti ko bhi paudhe ke liye jagah banani padti h use apnana padta ...but den ishwari ki intelligence meri smajh ke bahar h

In precap ishwari insulted dev n sona at once ...
Sid her increasing insecurities i really wonder for how long her facade may continue ..it has already started showing signs of cracking ...

Neha if given a chance sona ll give all dev's property to u all n go wid dev coz dev is only one she wants n needs ...rezt is all not required ..

I was wondering riya n nikki shud also b married to middle class families so that neha doesnt feel bad abt her status ...

Oh I am so sorry for hijacking your post. Sorry did you feel bad. You don't like random thoughts do you;-)

I am hoping Sona will see how Dev is happy because she is happy. And that will give her the confidence next time round.

As for mil-dil relationship. No comments. I would give her full marks for trying but deduct loads for trying too hard
