Now though for a while I found Nandini one dimensional, but off late, I have been having a different perspective about her character.
As a viewer,we know of Nand's atrocities and the fact that he has committed so many sins in his life that we find it very hard to imagine him doing any good.

But Nandini has not witnessed any of it,first hand.

Let's forget about Nand's atrocities for a second. Just think of Nand as a father. Nandini is his youngest(correct me if Im wrong) and the only daughter he has (correct me if Im wrong again). She's the 9th child.

What we find is that despite all the other cons in the man,he happens to be a doting and loving father to Nandini. He has not discriminated based on her gender, trained her in swordsmanship. Given her the right to express her opinions and respect them. And at times,at the cost of his own pride, put her wishes first.

Even when she put an unrealistic demand foe the swayamvar,he accepted that too. Having believed that his daughter definitely deserved the best.

But,when it came to Malay,he may have taken the wrong call. But even then,he qas ready to call of the wedding if she wanted to.

Now this is where my opinion about Nandini changed.

What she went through at this point is what most of the women go through. A lot of women wouldn't even have the option of going against the parent, but still its this dilemma which is tough for any woman.

Sacrificing one's own expectations from life at the cost of the father's pride.

Nand was ready to call of the wedding, but she chose not to let him do that. As she understood the repercussions. Parvatak would become an enemy and they couldn't affor it at this point.

From the very beginning, she had bad vibes abput Malay. Yet,sheagrees to accept this man who had no moral compass.

This brings me to another point. We as viewers can draw comparisons between Nand and Malay (and even when forget,Nand's wives keep reminding us),but this side of Nand is unknown to Nandini.

She is blinded by her love for her father, because he has only but been good to her.

Special mention to Shweta here.i think she has emoted this innwr turmoil extremely well. When in solitude, she lets her tears fall, but when in public, she dare not speak of the mental torture she is gping through.

Nandini has not seen Nand torturing women or kidnapping them. Unless she sees it with her own two eyes,I don't think anyone, let alone Nandini would ever believe that her dad is capable of doing any such thing.

She only knows one thing-My father has done so much for me and I shall do the same for him.

So many women go through this at various times in their lives,so if you actually think about it,she is only doing what most of the women in this country do.

Only a fraction of the entire population may make some sense of he discrepancy, but even then, what we see most often is we all our family above everything.

Teda hai,par mera hai😆

Fair point well made 👏
As Avantika also mentioned...A father is a father!

Nandni or anybody else at her place would be blinded by the love he showers upon her...and why just love? He has given her certain level of respect and liberty as well.

And until she sees it on her own...it would be difficult to roger with what Avantika keeps on saying.
But then again .to abide by that...ecen when dhe becomes aware...she is going to take her own sweet time...to believe it!!!

That's how things have always been!!
Being a woman is tough!!! At the end!! 😉

EXACTLY! We've been cursing Nandini for being ignorant all the while when the real culprit is her father. The truth is that her Pitamaharaj has actually made her this way. He has only shown her what he wants her to see: the good, the fatherly side of him. All his atrocities, all his past crimes, even the way he married Avantika(by killing off her husband) is unknown to her. In fact, in Nandini's presence, he seems to be more respectful towards women but as soon as she leaves, he shows his real Raudr Roop, like the way he manhandles his wives.

And Nandini is going through a very painful crisis right now. She has to choose between her own happiness and her duty to the country. But more than that, she could not see her Father losing, she cannot see him descend from the pedestal she put him on. And thus she decides to quash all her own ambitions (her love for studying and warfare) and just silently become the wife of a man she hates.

Shweta has done a wonderful job emoting Nandini thus far.👏

Yep! agree with all the points regarding Nandini.
And yes, when it comes to her own family. she will fight for them.
And if possible even sacrifice her happiness for them. By bending herself to Malay . That's how Nandini's character sketch is. And that's how it will be for a long time in the show. She could have easily denied this Marriage alliance but she didn't ,coz for her, Her family is important.
And her father is like God! Coz for her, Her father is just perfect human being without flaws!
And for majority daughters in our country too, their father is the best. So its normal thing!
It would be much later in this show, that she would realize her father's deeds and CGM's goodness. And that time it would be too late. she would really be in vulnerable situation and completely broken.

Another thing,Nandini has been known to be an arrogant spoilt brat, who could care less about others, two things to prove that wrong
Though both of them were very cliche',yet they must mean something

1)She agrees to marry Malay,as it became matter of father's pride and kingdom's security. (This again, could be more because of her blind love towards her father, which initially showed when she tells him she doesn't want to marry him,but later on when she ponders over the matter, decides to sacrifice)

2)Stands up to Malay when the daasi complains of molestation(?)

Ofcourse she is the quintessential Ekta heroine, saviour of the masses,Nari shakti et all. 😆 But off late,I see a normal Indian girl hidden beneath all that Mahaanta, who is just trying to find a middle-ground-between her own expectations from life and the expectations that others have from her.

Stands up to Malay when the daasi complains of molestation.

Yeah she has flaws in her ,and is not that mahaan 🤣 And I don't want her to be much Mahan. coz if she becomes one.she will become boring!!

And uske frnds ne bola na, That dasi is lying.she is planning to get hooked with the prince. And such lower class people will do anything to link themselves with the prince.
so that case got closed there itself.
And nandini is not that mahaan ki wo uss dasi ko justice dain..

And Molestation Nandini ki bhi tho huva. I thought, she will slap him and break the marriage. But all she does is, goes crying to her papa dearest . And due to her blind love for her papa who was about to lose the war. Nandni ponders its wrong to go against Malay as he helped her papa dearest..
so till now its not shown that she is too Mahaan 😆 😉
And thts what I am liking.. 😈

Nice analysis of nandhini's character👏
By the way nandhini is the 10th one after nine nandas and the only daughter of padmanandha as once she claimed herself as an ekloti rajkumari of magadh
It is good to see someone having a different opinion abt nandhini
I have no hard feelings for nandhini as for her blind love for her pita maharaj as love is blind of course
And everyone should accept the fact that nandh is lovely father every child would dream of having one like him, who loves and cares His daughter , more than that he respects her, even though he is a worst human being but as a daughter I probably go with nandhini claiming him as a world's best Father
So how it is possible to hate such a Father, then y to blame nandhini for her love. When a matured and manipulative woman like Helena was fooled by the fake love of malay , nandhini who is still in her bubble of father's love how can accept the real face until she sees by herself
And also she is no tyaagi but a real reflection of a woman of BC who r reluctantly defeated by the name of family reputation
Swetha is good in pulling the emotions from a mischievous and chirpy girl to a woman who is ready to bent down for her father's respect, she is growing , it may be slow but steady
Nandhini's character will get shaped once she comes out of her daughter identity and become nandhini herself.
What she went through at this point is what most of the women go through. A lot of women wouldn't even have the option of going against the parent, but still its this dilemma which is tough for any woman
Well said
Wen we have no option we will consider it as a fate but in nandhini's situation she had a option but she chose a worst for her to give a best for her father

And I don't like Miss perfect Mahaan heroines..I like if they have flaws.. 😆 And dhurdhara too is shown with flaws.
She is not shown as Miss perfect. She is shown like a normal gal who expects her husband to be patni parmeshwar 😆
