Sridevi livid with Jhanvi for dating Shikhar Pahariya?

Sridevi has apparently imposed a no-boyfriend clause on her daughter Jhanvi Kapoor after photos of the latter kissing boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya went viral on the internet.

Jhanvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor, daughters of Sridevi and Boney Kapoor, are among the most admired star kids of our generation. The two pretty young girls are increasingly making their way into people's hearts. Jhanvi, on her part, has been in the news of late after her photos of kissing boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya went viral.

Now, we hear Sridevi is not very happy with her daughter being in a relationship with Shikhar, politician Sushil Kumar Shinde's grandson.

A report in Mumbai Mirror says that Sridevi has apparently imposed some strict diktats on her daughter, who is currently preparing for her Bollywood debut. Jhanvi is supposedly not even allowed to have any male friends, let alone date someone or be in a relationship with someone.

Back when Sridevi made her debut in films, she was pretty well known for looking to her mother - 'Ask Mummy' - whenever there was a tricky situation. The yesteryear's actor seems to be keen on keeping that tradition alive, what with Jhanvi not allowed any male friends.

The restrictions on male friends are supposed to have been set in action after photos of Jhanvi kissing Shikhar broke the internet sometime a few months ago.

In Sridevi's time, the marriage of a female actor was almost the death knell for her career in Bollywood. We're not sure if Sridevi is playing it safe by ensuring that her daughter is not linked to anyone while she is on the doorstep of Bollywood.

If reports are to be believed, Sridevi has asked Jhanvi to stop seeing Shikhar Pahariya immediately. We'll have to wait a while to see if the New York-based Jhanvi actually adheres to the no-boyfriend clause or not.

I too get scared of having my own child seeing this generation.

Anyway, IDK what to say, parenting seems very difficult. Putting restrictions is certainly not the way, one needs to find a way to friend their child, reach out to them somehow and gently inculcate in them a sense of responsibility. But bluntly slapping restrictions will only further frustrate, distance the child make them more rebellious or strain your own relationship with them - one has to find a way to reach to them... it depends on the child too, if they are also receptive, anyway ~

This generation is just... I wish I was born in 1910s

or 80's or 90's!!! I was born in mid 80's and I had an amazing childhood!!! I ve 2 daughters now..and I am really scared of the future!! Till now they are really good Alhamdulillah but it's becoming tough! I don't want to put restrictions..i want to instill good values in them so that they themselves know what's wrong or right BUT sometimes it's really hard to explain!! Keeping fingers cross!!

Jhanvi and Khushi will never be "Ask mummy" girls.
Sri hasn't learnt anything from her traumatic life, she is doing same thing to her daughters now
What does she mean by "Jhanvi not allowed even male friends"? It sounds pathetic

Tammy and Angel - Time teaches everything. Parenting is scary as hell due to internet. Whatsapp, FB and all info available for kids.

My 10 year old has a Mexican GF and I have accepted the fate😆.

These dramas & news pieces will NOT boost her career Sridevi ji!

She's neither a charmer nor a looker and I doubt she's been sent to an acting school, so there goes the chance of her being a decent actress too.
