Hello my new sweetheart. A big thank you for the messages. A very warm welcome to the forum. I am so happy to see a new meet lover and writer here. This is going to be so much fun now *_* The teaser and the banner is absolutely stunning. I was so amazed to see how you potrayed the very subtle things of Preet's character too. Like you mentioned his nature of saying 'no?' in the end of a sentence. When I read a story I always look for subtle details which a writer writes to make the story more catchy and perfect. You are on a right track here. Loved it. Waiting to see what happens next.

Hey folks, I am back with the update, sorry couldn't update in these days. Actually I wrote the update but due to some problems I couldn't. here you enjoy the update.

Chapter 1
~ Preet's unexpected wedding ~

"I want u to get.. To get marry with Meher..!" as Lalit said, Preet looked at him shocked for a while and then burst into laugh, "What a joke dad..."

"I'm not joking Preet, I'm serious."

Preet stopped laughing and looked at his father who maintained a stern look, he then looked at Gayatri who also looking down, "Are.. Are you serious dad?"

"Yes Preet. I want you to get marry to Ballu's..." but before Lalit could finish, Preet exploded, "How can you think about it dad? Marry.. You know me well, you know I'm not serious about anything, then how can you take such decision? Maa, please make him understand, he has gone mad.."

"Preet.. Calm down." Gayatri politely said, "Preet, you have to marry some day then why not now? Meher is nice girl."

"I don't care." Preet looked away.

"Do you have someone else in your life?" His mother asked worried.

"It's nothing like that. It's just that, I don't want to get married now. And moreover, Prem and Harman bhai, they aren't married yet. Then why are you behind me leaving them back? If you really think that girl is good then why don't you fix her marriage with Prem or Harman bhai?" Preet asked in anger.

"Preet, I don't think I need to give you any explanation. You are marrying her and that's final." Lalit declared.

"But I won't. I am going back today." saying this he was going to leave the room when Gayatri said, "Is it your stubbornness?"

"Maa.. You know me well." He said looking straight at the door.

"Then okay. Until you won't agree to marry her, I will not eat food nor I will drink water." Gayatri said.

Preet turned back at her in shock, he was about to say when Gayatri said, "No more arguments." Preet walked out furiously slamming the door behind.

That night none of them slept, Preet was hell confused about what he should do..! He talked with Prem who said, he'll come in morning - Preet knew well only Prem can handle the situation.

Next morning, Preet was standing near the window when he felt a tap on his shoulder, he looked back and saw Prem was standing, "Prem bhaiya..." Preet hugged him.

"Preet.. Come..!" Prem made him sit on the bed, "Now tell me.."

"Bhaiya I don't want to marry."

"Why? Is there anyone in your life?" Prem asked.

"No..! It's just that.."

".. That you are afraid of losing your carefree life. Isn't?" Prem complete the sentence which Preet couldn't. "Why you think so Preet? See.. Someday you have to take all the responsibilities right? And Preet, Meher isn't that type of girl who will stop you from living your life."

"But.." Preet was about to say when Prem said, "Preet.. For us, ma bauji's happiness is first priority. Preet, bauji gave his words to Balraj uncle that you will marry her, now if you step back, it can hurt bauji's self respect."

"But bhai, why me?"

"Because Meher is perfect for you and what do you want? Should I break my engagement with Heer and marry Meher or should Harman does the same with Maya?" As Prem asked, Preet looked down in guilt. "Relax Preet, you don't need to worry about anything." Prem assured.

"I need some time." Preet said thoughtful when they heard Lalit called them aloud.

Prem and Preet walked in Lalit's room and saw Gayatri laying on the floor senseless, they made her sleep on the bed and called doctor. "She fainted as she is weak, doesn't she taking her medicines? I'm prescribing some medicines, please give her one she wake up but before that make her eat something." The doctor took leave.

"Now happy?" Lalit stared at Preet furiously.

"Bauji.." Prem tried to calm him down.

"No you don't know anything Preet. For him, Gayatri hadn't ate anything from last night and that's why he health deteriorate. If anything happens with her, I won't leave you Preet." Lalit yelled on him and left the room.

Preet walked in Gayatri's room with food tray, he saw Prem was present there. "Ma.. See..! Preet brought food for you." Prem said looking at him.

"I don't need anything." She denied to have when Preet walked to her and took sit beside her, "Ma, you are angry with me then why are you showing anger on food, please have it. You have to take your medicines."

"Preet, your dad's self respect is depend on your answer." She said looking into his eyes, Preet sighed, "I'm ready to do whatever you all want." Prem and Gayatri looked at him delightful.

"You mean, you will marry.." She asked with tearful eyes when Preet nodded, she happily hugged her sons.

In the evening, everyone went to Maan house to finalize the wedding but Preet and Meher didn't meet during this whole conversation. On the same night, after returning back to Juneja house, Prem walked in his parent's room and saw them discussing.

"Ma.. Bauji.." He called them out.

"Prem.. Come." Lalit calmly said.

"Bauji.. I was thinking to inform Preet about Meher's past, we shouldn't hide it from him. After all he will get to know about it any time so it won't be good if we hide it." Prem explained his worry to them.

"I understand Prem but you know your bhai. If he gets to know now, he will step back and I don't want it and if he gets to after the wedding, he can't do anything then. We have to take the risk. We can't let him know the truth, it's about reputation of both of our families and more important, it's about Meher's life." Lalit make him understand.

"Okay bauji..."

Soon the wedding rituals started but both Preet and Meher didn't bother to meet each other. Finally the D-day arrived. Both were sitting in the mandap. The priest asked them to exchange the garlands, they stood face to face when Preet once looked at her but instantly looked away, then they exchanged the garlands. Balraj did the kanyadan ritual and then Preet and Meher took seven vows and then Preet filled her partition with vermilion and tied the mangalsutra around her neck.

"Now you both are husband wife, go and take blessings from elders." The priest said.

"Ballu, we decided that we will leave for Mumbai today itself." Lalit said.

Meanwhile Preet was restlessly waiting for the rituals to end so that he could go from there, but when he saw there wasn't any chance to end, he dragged his Prem bhaiya to the corner and asked, "Bhai.. When will all these end?"

"We will leave soon. Be patience."

And soon they took leave from there. The journey from Maan house to Juneja house was silent, though two person was present in the same car but their souls were far away from each other, they didn't even bother to take a look at each other. Soon they reached at Juneja house, Preet didn't wait any more, he rushed inside leaving his family outside and after a while he walked out in his casual form with his luggage.

"Preet? Where are you going?" Gayatri asked.

"Going back to Mumbai. I can't take it any more. You both asked me to marry her, I did. But now don't expect me to take part in such drama. And Prem bhaiya is here, he will arrange everything. I will meet you all at home." saying this Preet left, though everyone tried to stop him but this time he didn't.

"Don't worry Meher. Every thing happened in a rush, so he is little irritated with all these. He will be fine soon. You come." Gayatri assured but it seemed nothing affected on Meher, she silently walked in with them.

wow you sire made a different start than any other stories I've read!

Dunno whether you've watched this show in full or part or just Preet's scenes to see nos characrers' shades change over time. I totally dislike G3 - Preet's mom in the show. Now in this story her blackmailing Preet is so distasteful for wrong reason. And don't like Bauji or Prem either.

Forcing Preet is very bad and sad he has been thrown suddenly into a relationship. 🥱🥱

Now there is a past pf Meher Prem wanted to reveal bjt parents stop him. Oh man these p'l are terrible

Preet's tit for tat by leaving house by himself I can understand and would have done if I was on his shoes.

One thing would have been nice - to have a conversation with Meher that he's agreeing cz of parents. Preet in the show is very straight forward and doesn't hide serious matters. It would have been nice to see him speak up and confess to Meher.

Meher's story lets see what has to say about past and present in her life. From your description it looks like she is depressed. Why does Junejas want to rush this marriage is a mystery!

So the new life begins when rest of Js reach their home.

Preet will be indifferent and Meher unresponsive is how i see next scene. 😆😕

wonder if Js will send them off to honeymoon ? IF so there is a chance to break the ice hmm

Will wait for next one.

I m not a fan of rude preet atleast he should tall to meher before going .
Neher having a past hmmm may b this ll help them connect . I m quite curious about next part so update soon 😉
