Mehendi Mein Baji Band (out of work) & Outing
The next day he woke up and saw the time.
"Oh my god! It is 9!" Kabir woke up with a jerk. He straight away went to the washroom and came as fast as he could. Later he came down in a hurry and was about to leave without having breakfast.
Va- Kabir! Where are you going in this hurry? To the least have your breakfast!
Ka- (putting on his shoes) No mom, I am already late! She would not leave me.
He left.
Va- (irritated) Yeh ladka! Iska kya karoon main!
Ar- (Reading the newspaper) Shaadi karado! Yeh automatically sudhar jayega.
Va- (glared at him, snatches the newspaper) Maine aapko kaha tha na breakfast table pe no work and newspaper! I have to remind you every day.
Ar- That is the reason I do it. because I want to listen to your melodious voice every morning. It gives a good start to my day. (holds Vasu's hands)
Kar- (covering his face with newspaper) Dad, I am here, so try to control.
Ar- (leaves her hand while she blushes) Aaj tu isi ki vajah se yahan hai! Dekh aaj bhi mera asar vaisa hi kayam hai teri Maa par. Abhi bhi main tujhe bhai ya behen de sakta hoon.
Kar- Dad kuch toh sharam karo. Aapke ke bete ki yahan shaadi ho rahi hai aur aap ho ki apni Family Planning returns bana rahe ho!
Ar- Kya karoon beta, sabki aati nahi aur meri jaati nahi! (winks)
Vasu blushes. They had their breakfast teasing each other. They had to reach the venue by 10 for the mehendi rasm.
Kabir in the car
Ka- Kabir beta aaj toh tu gaya! Woh tujhse bahut naaraaz ho jayegi!
He reaches the place. There she was standing in a beautiful light green gown as per the code. She had cute bangles in her hand. He went near her.
Ka- (cutely) I am sorry!
She turned her head the other side.
Ka- (goes to the other side) I really am!
"Then why did you take so much time? You told me to come here by 7:30 and now it's 8:15!" she said angrily.
Ka- (holds his ears) sorry na GF, I forgot to set the alarm.
Yes the girl is Sarah, Kabir's cute little GF who was looking like a princess.
Sa- Okay! But I want a chocolate!
Ka- (takes out one from his pocket, reaches her height) I knew it! (gave it to her)
Sa- (hugs him) Thanks BF, you are the best BF in the world. (kisses his cheeks)
Ka- That I know! And you are the most beautiful GF in the world. Now let us go. We are already late.
They reached the venue together with Sarah's parents. Nisha was already there in a beautiful dark green gown which was really simple but looked elegant on her. She was looking PATAKA. Kabir was mesmerized to see her. His mouth was left open. He was staring her like an idiot.
Va- Toh kya humare liye bahu chun li???
Ka- (composed himself) What are you talking about mom?
Va- About what you are trying to hide.
Ka- it is not like that. We are not even friends.
Va- but I have never seen anyone staring at a beautiful girl without having feelings for her unless he has lust in those eyes. So where do you fall?
Ka- Nowhere! Mom it's just that she was looking pretty so I was just looking at her.
Va- I think Aishwarya Rai Bachhan is pretty but you never stared at her like that.
Ka- Maa...
Va- (cuts him) Mujhe tere bahane nahi sunne hain. Dekh Kabir, if you like her or have feelings for her, go and tell her before it is too late. Kabir everyone doesn't get a second chance in life. Your father and I got but not everyone is so lucky. Don't fail to recognize your feelings or else it would be too late.
Saying so she went to meet the guests. The rasam was about to begin. Kabir was thinking about what his mother said. Everyone had already went near the dulha and the dulhan. But Kabir was still standing near the door.
Ka- (monologue) Maa sach bol rahi thi. She is right that we won't get a second chance in life. But I don't need a second chance till I really need it. Aur Nisha and me, I don't think we have any chance for ourselves.
God- (suddenly) Abhi bhi bol raha hoon, realize karle ki woh hi tere liye bani hai. Kab tak sab ke sab tujhe hint dete rahenge.
Kabir looked up irritated and then left to the place where Kartik and Kirti were settled.
God- karle ignore abhi par yaad rakhna sabki jodiyan maine hi banayi hai. So I know very well who is made for whom. Waise bhi ghoom phir ke tu mere paas hi ayega.
The mehendi was being done for Kartik and Kirti.
La- Nisha tub hi lagva le!
Ni- No mom, I do not like it.
Va- Beta lagva lo, it is your sister's wedding.
Ni- Okay aunty!
La- Vasu mujhe toh lag raha hai that you should keep her. she listens to you more than me these days.
Va- (looks at Kabir) Even I am planning to.
Laxmi smiles not understanding what she exactly meant. The mehendi was being applied on Nisha's palms and Kabir was staring her. By mistake the mehendi designer wrote K in between the design as her design got spoiled by a hand movement of Nisha. She was about to remove it but Nisha stopped her from doing it and she did not know the reason. Nisha sat beside Kirti and Viraj was sitting beside her. Kabir was getting angry (J). Ayesha went to her and started talking to her lovingly. Now it was Nisha's turn to get J.
Suku went near Nisha and asked her to dance with Viraj but after a lot of insistence she danced with Viraj on the song Yaari Yaari. And they showed their Jhalli Dosti.
Kabir was getting even more jealous. Then Ayesha asked Kabir to dance with her. And Kabir being in the jealous state accepted her proposal at once. They danced on the Ajeeb Dastan hai Ye. (unke dance mein Nisha took up a para)

Nisha stood up from her place and started singing.
Kisi ke itne paas ho
Ke sab se door ho gaye
She looked at Kabir with a broken heart and tears in her eyes.
Ajeeb daastaan hai yeh
Kahan shuru kahan khatam
She went to Vasu and stood beside her.
Yeh manzile hai kaunsi
Na voh samajh sake na hum
She then looked at Kabir trying to express the pain she is in.
And then she went and stood near Viraj and looked at him with teary eyes. None of them in the hall could understand the reason she took up the saddest part of the song except for Viraj, Ramesh, Vasu and somewhere Kabir. Then she giggled trying to tell that it was a joke. Everyone smiled at her. Kabir knew that she was hiding something but the worst part was she herself didn't know the answer.
Later the complete mehendi function was completed. They all retired to their rooms in the hotel of the venue. The two families had also booked some rooms for themselves in order to save time of going back home and then coming back to the venue.
Nisha changed to some casuals and did not take rest as she had to look at the arrangements neither did Kabir. They both reached the hall at the same time. They looked at each other. They went inside and started looking at the works as there was very less time left.
Kabir stole glances of Nisha.
God- (sings) Thoda sa pyaar hua hai thoda hai baaki!
Ka- (looks up) Aap phir shuru ho gaye. Aapko kaam nahi hote hain kya!
God- mujhe facebook par aayi hui friend requests bhi check karni hai aur saath saath bahut saare conversations par reply bhi maarna hai. Jesus ne bhi wishes bheji hain Diwali ki uspar bhi reply karna hai. So you see I have loads of work to do.
Ka- Toh jao karo na, mere peeche kyun padhe ho?
God- (sings) Aadha Ishq, aadha hai , aadha ho jayega.
Ka- I am doing my work so don't disturb me.
God- (Katrina style, TMK movie se) You're such a meany!
Ka- Jaanta hoon!
Ni- Kabir!
God- Phas gaya! (giggled)
Ka- (shocked at her sudden appreance beside him) haan bol!
Ni- Tu yeh upar dekh dekh kar kisse baat karta hai?
Ka- Woh main god ko kosta rehta hoon!
Ni- You are such a weirdo at times!
Ka- Accha tu bol! You had some work?
Ni- (realizes) There is a rasam between the elders of the groom and bride and they have to share 2 particular sweets" Mysore Pak for the girl's parents and Kaju Katli for the groom's. but these caterers heard it wrong and made the wrong sweet. Aur 5 boxes are needed so itni jaldi banegi bhi nahi.
Ka- Nisha mujhe zyada kuch samajh nahi aaya lekin main le aaunga
He was about to leave when Nisha called him.
Ka- Haan bol!
Ni- I will also go with you or else you will make a mistake like them.
They went outside. Kabir sat on a bike instead of talking a car.
Ni- Yeh kya kar raha hai?
Ka- Mumbai ka traffic jaanti hai na and moreover it is a wedding season, andar waali shops mein hi milegi. So uske liye we need to go on a bike to get the work done faster.
Ni- Theek hai! (she went near the bike) hatt!
Ka- kahan hatt?
Ni- Main drive karoongi!
Ka- Tu? Aur bike?
Ni- Yup! I know how to drive it. hatt ab!
Kabir moved back making space for her and gave her another helmet.
Ni- Ab tu bas apni shirt pakadle kahi udd na jaaye (smirks)
She started driving. as soon as she came on the main road she started driving even faster. Kabir showed her the place. She stopped.
Ka- 30 minute ki doori das minute mein poori kar di! Kamal hai!
Ni- Arre hum kalakar hain, aage aage dekh hota hai kya!
Ka- (giggles) Accha ok! But now the shop is at the other side of the road so...
Ni- (cuts him in between) So I am going to get it!
Ka- Nisha...
She went without even listening to him. She reached the shop and started taking the sweets. She was crossing the road thinking about the incidents between her and Kabir. Kabir saw her and smiled but that smile soon faded away as he saw a car driving towards her. it was blowing horn again and again but she did not hear it. the car seemed to have got failed breaks.
Kabir shouted her name many times but she did not hear it. Kabir ran towards her and pulled her in the nick of time and they fell on the other side of the footpath with Kabir on top of her.
Ka- (shouting) Are you mad? Are you insane? Where were you looking at? Couldn't you hear the horn or when I was shouting? Do you know what could have happened to you?
Nisha was smiling like a maniac. She was just looking at his care for her. he staked his life for her.
Ka- Nisha are you even listening to me? Have you ever thought that if something would have happened to you then what would have happened to me?
Nisha was astonished about what he said. Even he was himself.
