This much is pretty sure maya's dad used to physically and mentally abuse both maya and her mom ... I don't think there is any s**ual abuse involved .. I think because of the continuous mental and physical torture maya is like this ... I am guessing maya tried to kill her father or atleast harm him in some way and I guess she might hv succeded also little bit.. and I think maya's mother gives him 5 lakh's everything month to protect her daughter ... cause if maya really tried to kill or harm her father in the past and this comes out in the open maya's life can be destroyed she can be sent to mental hospital also her image will be completely destroyed

I support your thought may be her father was abusing her mother physically and has tortured Maya mentally only.
