To me the whole story mainly based on Iswari accepting the relationship not forcefully but whole heartedly.It never was about making Iswari a villain in every way and Sona Mahan in every aspect.

I saw Enough heroine centric stories where Ishita,Akshara Gopi and others will solve the problems and heroes will look at them with admiration. Ek aur hi sahi.Now the actual Saas Bahu story is going on with Sona as the hero Dev as the heroine and Iswari as the villain.Long live CVs and their creativity that churn out run of the mill kind stories on helpless audience.

I started my journey because of my friend in SKR forum Shruthi who writes beautiful analysis. I watched the promo and was immediately attracted solely because of the maturity in their love story. Even though the concept was the same old it had a different feel and I loved Shaheer as Arjun. It was his comeback show after almost 2 years.

I loved the depth in the character of Dev and loved the mother son bond. But I was intrigued by the character of Neha. I got hooked to the show even before Sona's character was properly introduced. I fell in love with Sona along the journey and now she is the one pulling my strings


The break up and the patch up - the less said about them the better. But I haven't missed an episode yet 😆 Well not surprising since I am a hopeless romantic. 😆

But I understood why the break up and patch up was done like that after I rewatched it recently after their marriage.

I have stopped comparing this now with the initial promo because it is no where near what was shown. But I still love this mainly for the leads and also the last 2 weeks have given me back some hope.

The consummation was shown as a milestone in their relationship. Dev lived a nightmare during the breakup phase and learned what Sona is to him. He knew his priorities as shown by his reaction to both the prenup and Knowledge of Sona's infertility. He was willing to go to any length for Sona.

The problems after marriage and Sona's reaction to him frustrated him because Sona was never vocal about how much Dev means to her. To him it seemed she was punishing him for his decision to break up with her, breaking her heart. He thought she was unwilling to trust him completely and was prolonging their union making use of all the excuses. He wanted to show her how much he loved her and what she meant to him. Her complete surrender meant her complete trust in him.

It was her fear coming alive for Sona when Dev broke up with her because of Ishwari. So as soon as she understood the Ishwari just gave in to Dev and have not accepted her wholeheartedly her fear and insecurity came back again. She was able to overcome this fear only when she realised that she is the solution for him to overcome his troublesome past. She gifted him his solution by taking him away from all the reminders of his past. They became one overcoming their innermost fears and this strengthened their bond more. This stronger bond is helping them to face whatever is thrown at them and be each other's support through it all.

I am really loving this phase. They are able to understand without a word and see the pain in each others eye. Dev needs her to be that solace to help him over come his past and she is becoming that solace to him. Hope they will be able to overcome all the hurdles by continuing to be each other's strength.



PS: This is so different from what I wrote at first. 😆 Now everything is mixed up. Don't know what I wrote. 😆
