Finally, I'm all caught up on the episodes. 😛
First things first. I will honestly admit that this was the exact KC I was anticipating, and that is why I refrained from watching/commenting until the whole thing played out.

Second, I'm not a particularly religious person. So to me, KC was just another plot device, and my view of events will reflect exactly that. Just a heads up to anyone whose sentiments might be hurt/offended.

And now the main event. My analysis of Vividha's KC.
Frankly, I don't really understand all this outrage about the fast. From my perspective, it's pretty much the same thing as the wedding. Vivi wanted to marry Atharv and in gandharva style, she did. But she was also coerced into marrying R. Vivi wanted to fast for Atharv and she kinda/sorta did. But R also gave her water when she was unconscious. In both situations, she was mentally absent and had zero choice in the matter. So what is the difference? Why weren't people outraged by the forced wedding then? Just because it had public sanction? Well then, so did this KC.
If this nullifies her fast, by the same token, isn't her second (forced) wedding nullified too?
And if we're considering only Vivi's choice in the matter, well then that's never wavered, has it? So, are we ready to respect that now?

Is all if this unfair to A and R? Yes absolutely because they're both unaware of the circumstances. But it is most unfair to Vivi, because her freewill is being undermined.

So in that sense, I'm absolutely glad this is being reinforced. Vivi's right to decide should be the only determiner for everything (including who her spouse should be) and not who she sees through a sieve or who offers her a drink of water.

Finally, because KC is a Hindu ritual, I'm going to end with a quote about worship in Hinduism. "Maano toh bhagwaan warna pathar," which means devotion is what we make of it. Well I would say, so is everything else in life (including morality) .

P. S: I really hope Vivi clarifies things tomorrow. This drag is getting exhausting! 🥱

This is such a beautifully expressed post ... Love ur perspective to things and your capacity to explain it so simply and beautifully 😳... A very valid perspective to give a person his/her freedom to decide and choose and that should matter above everything else 😊

I agree with you as I also dont believe in KC and all, but as far as show is concerned its all CVs playing, I liked your logic too with respect to wedding as well as KC. Loved your post 👍🏼

CVs simply used the KC to continue to confuse the fans of the two pairings and did a good job at that. A clear cut KC would have finalized the pairing and they did not want to do that.

My only complaint is that at the end of the KC, we are back to where we were a week back. Atharv-sujata back in the house and Ravish hiding them.

The drag is exhausting and I don't expect anything of value tomorrow either.

Thank you :)

People are saying that this type of KC is a mockery of the ritual. Well then, in my opinion, so is forced marriage. In fact, that is the ultimate mockery because Hinduism (or any other religion) strongly advocates consent as the most important aspect of a wedding. In Christianity, it's all about the "I do" and in Islam "Qubool hai" is the highlight.
So when that is taken away (like in today's KC, Vivi was unconscious), what value does the ritual have?

Now I just hope that Vivi's choice is always respected in this show. Because that is the ultimate point.

Lol of course. That's their job.

But Vivi has never given me a reason to doubt her clarity. So until then, I'm good. 😳😆

You always make so much sense wish.

I also don't know what the big deal is about Ravish giving Vividha the water. She fasted for Atharv, saw Atharv through the channi but was unconscious when the water was given to her,

I love the parlallel you made with the wedding. Both times mentally, she was doing everything with and for Atharv. It was what she wanted. The forced marriage and the water drinking was not in her control.

Vividha has clarified things and made her stance quite clearly over and over.

Haha, aren't you the one always looking for drama? Well, this gave you plenty. 😛

Even if we're talking plot wise, they needed a high point for R to have his "love" realization and that meant passively involving him in the fast.

Of course they're back to where they started. That's exactly why this topic is titled "square one" 😆

I doubt much is gonna happen tomorrow either. R looks too calm for someone who's just heard that his "wife" is in love with someone else.😆 Besides, misleading precaps are a JNDSD trademark. They probably released it before the episode to distract fans from the outrage over the f**ked up KC.

Sigh! Guess the wait to clarity is gonna be a while. :/

Me too, I never had a doubt on her and she will not take any such stance until Cvs decide to ruin the story.

Sweet Whispa! 🤗

Have you posted your review yet? I was looking for it😳

BTW, I tried to give you a heads up about the meeting, remember? I really didn't want you to feel blindsided or disappointed after. Anyway, this is why I didn't make the post that day. Atleast the ViTharv fans got to celebrate yesterday😆

Now if only R and V would come clean to each other too ASAP. 🥱
