story begins after Shivaye Tia proposal
Prologue:
It was late at night after preparation for billuji's shaddi Anika felt bone deep exhaustion .All day she felt a unknown pain in her chest that she ignored , she did not understand what it was and had overworked herself for distraction from it,but the strange ache seemed to increase every-time she looked at billuji why she wondered .
Billuji had left to drop tia and inform the date to the kapoors. Anika stood outside the Oberoi mansion all alone.Om had offered to drop her but today she did not have the strength to face him.
It was passed 1 in the night all the roads were clocked in darkness Anika was so distracted in her thoughts that she had not noticed the darkness.Today the pain in the chest seemed to have won over her fear of darkness.
She walked slowly toward her home .By 3 she had reached home Sahil was already asleep. She sat on the sofa and closed her eyes restlessness engulfed her but exhaustion won and she slept.
Crack of a whip sadistic laughter of a man a small girl hugging her a car going of a cliff edge flashed over and over in her dreams .
''Ani diii'' the scream was heard before anika jolted herself awake she saw the darkness surrounding her and she felt fear griping ever pore of her being . she fumbled for the light switch but it was a power cut she saw the faint light of the moon and desperatelymoved towards it.
She had not had the nightmare for quite a while now so she had forgotten about it so worried for sahil and the oberoi house that she had pushed back her demons and tonight ,they had returned with a vengeance.
Anika looked at the moon and her braclet 5 moons the only thing she had of her past. Shivaye was right about her she had no roots she had no memory of her life before 5 years. often she wondered whether she had anyone or was she an orphane she did not even known her name anika was the name gifted to her by sahil's parents. They had found her near a highway badly injured and had taken her in as there own.
During the last 5 years she had tried to find her identity but the death of sahil's parents put her investigation on back burner for she had to fight for sahil she owed it to them .She promised them that she would raise sahil and the oberoi had entered her life and she had no time.
afer 1 year today the nightmare had returned as a reminder to her of her fogged past.
Anika vowed tomorrow she would start looking into it again for she knew once the nightmares started it would continue to escalate till she did something to soothe it. It was like a living being constantlynagging until some action was taken. Though anika knew there was no reason to hope
