People used to say Ranveer is a versatile actor but actually he is not. He is a method actor who could play larger than life roles with much conviction but these slice of life roles are not made for him. He can never play Bunny with such ease as Ranbir played that. I am sure Ranveer would have made that one look sleazy as well. On top of that I see no difference in his Kil Dill, DDD, Befikre, LVRB. Someone even mentioned that it looks like a sequel of DDD.
Still I am feeling bad for him for all this bashing because he is a good actor bas insan ko auqat se bahir nhi hona chahiye.
@bold: seriously?! 😆
Could have chosen a better example, Ranbir as Bunny was so artificial, it was awkward hearing his atrocious dialogue delivery, what an annoying emphasis on words, 'SCHOLAR Naina' W*F was that. He himself admitted he's out of his comfort zone with flamboyant roles such as YJHD, can't pull them off with ease unlike SRK in DDLJ and how Barfi comes more naturally to him. Has a lot of ground to cover before he can be called versatile.
As Ranveer, he's been able to shake off his flops till now, may do him more damage considering it won't meet the euphoric high he experienced with BM, but then he was never gonna refuse Aditya. It was obvious this movie would fare this way, Adi is over.
