Hi all. I'm Sneha. I'm new to the show, and have never been on this forum before. It'll be a pleasure to know you all with passing time. I'm not very familiar with the concept of the show or the storyline since the past so many years. I actually caught a Karthik/Naira video on Instagram totally accidentally a couple of days back and have been addicted ever since. The fact that all my potential couples on Hindi TV screen are now over and/or ruined, it's always super exciting to find a new little spark in some of the younger generation.
So I guess, here I am. I've binged watched a couple of recent episodes since Shivangi and Mohsin entered, and couldn't help falling in love with them and their story. i don't know how well this show and its writers deal with subtlety and layers in characters, but I, for one, like going into the deeper layers of characters, and thus: here's my two cents so far. I'm not too aware of all the background stories, but I do hope you'll forgive any mistakes if I do make them and oblige to correct me. 😳
His Right/Her Wrong, or is it His Wrong/Her Right? - The Proposal
Karthik - He's a wild adventure on paper, and a vulnerable child at heart. He doesn't know how to love selflessly. Yet. But he knows how to protect what he loves. He's clearly got a more hurtful backstory, so he's wary of people as when we saw how he immediately got suspicious about Naman. His elaborate proposal was extremely heart warming, yet it was scary. Put yourself in Naira's place, wouldn't you cringe? Wouldn't you be scared? Wouldn't you be confused? He wants an immediate answer, but it took him weeks to realize his own feelings for her. It was slow, gradual and that explains why it is so special for him. What gives him the right to demand an answer at the moment when she just nearly lost her father? Love is an obsession, but love is also an understanding. It is pure, and sets you free. Yet his love is condescending. It demands before it gives. Is he right to love her? Of course. Is he doing it right though? Well...
Naira - Naira is the opposite of Karthik in so many ways, yet they meet where angst starts and the world stops. She's still a teenager. Or is supposed to be I think, according to the track of the show. She doesn't believe in love, and quite frankly, most of the time, she doesn't put friendship on a very high pedestal either. She is quick to judge, but even quicker to redeem herself when need be. She takes people as she sees them, superficially at first, be it her mom, or Karthik. Yet, she gives them a unique place in her heart once she gets to delve deeper into who they are. So it isn't surprising that she doesn't understand Karthik's sudden proposal. Instead she fears it. She doesn't understand his love for her. Her, who has always lost relationships before even gaining them. She's confused not because she distrusts him. She's wary because she doesn't trust her destiny. Love hasn't always been gracious to her, except in the form of her father. Does she deserve time to deal with this new change? Of course. Should she keep him hanging until she figures it out? Well...

P.S. - I hope I won't be disappointed by this show. I just quit one so bitterly. It'll be unfortunate, albeit probably less painful, if they ruin Kaira.
