She knows Ishwari accepted her only due to Dev and is trying to placate her as she is already sure of Dev's love. Further she is too naive and straightforward to understand that denying her husband his conjugal rights can literally act as a bomb and the person ultimately considered responsible will have to pay heavily. She is still very innocent. After all she has never had even an affair and is not very conversant with male mentality and behaviour in these terms. Ishwari is taking benefit from this.

Wait till Sonakshi understands Ishwari's true intentions and then she will be back in action.

First she will be upfront with Dev and when he will refuse to listen, either she will pay back Ishwari in the same coin or walk out with her head held high.

What is being shown is a natural process. Let us it let it take place.

Thanks for commenting. You always make me think in a direction that I miss 😃

While I agree with your point of Sona trying to fit into tge famiky and learning their culture, I don't agree with the point of denying Dev his conjugal rights. They're newly married and in love. Dev has been reacting quite normally after marriage, being romantic, waiting for their golden night and demanding intimacy. But Sona has been reacting so low, like she's not physically attracted to Dev at all. She reacts so normally when she's asked to stay away from Dev and when she agrees, tge first thing she thinks is 'Dev gussa honge'. What about her feelings? Was she not waiting for their night? Wasn't she disappointed?

She's trying to fit in as Ish's DIL .. That's totally justified .. All her efforts are commendable ..
The only thing I dislike is that she's ignoring Dev for all this .. That's not right .. She should think of him too .. Everything else is secondary ..

Im just wondering how many newly married men have to fit in/ adjust/become an integral part of a family/do things they don't want to do/ have their every move criticised and commented on. They are left to continue to live and do exactly as they always have even after marriage. I've said it before and I'll say it again ---the change has to start with us women. As long as we keep trying to fit in, this is the kind of treatment we can expect. Ladies, be the person you always were even after marriage. Don't try to mould your personality and beliefs to suit someone's idea of what a perfect bahu should be. Be your own person before being anything else.

As for their attraction (or lack of it) Ive given up on that. Sona's only response to Dev coming near her is to say 'chhodiye na'. I guess this is the CVs idea of how a shy Indian bride should behave. Heaven forbid she should have any sexual desire for her husband. I cant feel a single spark of attraction between them any more. There's always distance between them even in their so-called close moments. The whole thing looks forced and unconvincing. The actors are unable or unwilling to convey the kind of emotions a newly married and much in love couple should be feeling. It just isn't there.

for a moment imagine going to some relatives for staying. Does the behaviour in all dimensions remain the same as at home???
No - you try to adjust to your host's

Sona has got married and come to dixits house. Inspite of having a relationship with Dev and marriage - she's still a human being which has a sub-conscience hard wired with the environment of 20-25 yrs.

Sona has been an intelligent upright girl - but now has a feeling that she has to adjust to the new surroundings and in the process she's become a real confused character. Bua was brought in CVs just to kill the upright spirit of Sona. The taunts about being educated, bengali, and aaj kee ladki has just crushed her self confidence and to be a person who she was before marriage.

If I draw an analogy - the same same thing happens to a child who is by design left handed but parents force him to be right handed.

Its the CVs who are creating a situation wherein they want to trap Sona in all the conspiracies and make her more insecure as days pass. Sex for Dev is important but sona is so confused to think about sex when she is being fired with advises and taunts from all directions.

She is trying to please everyone but in failing miserably.

Dev who could control the situation is as usual dumb and not able to see the intentions of the family in their sugar coated behaviour.😆
