Nah I disagree, I support Bijoy's character from the beginning even now.
Bijoy's reactions are apt, I dont find anything wrong with it. Jo Sona ko sasural mein mila, Dev ko uske sasural mein mila - as simple as that.
Like someone pointed out Bijoy is way better than Ishwari - no double standards, no two faced personality - he has given Dev clarity so no Mis-Understandings, where as Ishwari has given no one any clarity about how she feels.
Bijoy reactions, Sonakshi's fasting - why all this ? because both are not sure, rather are uncertain if Dev might again leave Sonakshi for Ishwari - hence Bijoy is questioning Dev and Sonakshi is blindly following Ishwari. Its boils down to Dev to communicate to Sonakshi that their husband and wife relationship is permanent.
I find Bijoy's reactions very normal - the makers just like they show Dixit's and Bose's family like North Pole, South Pole like you made in your post, similarly Bijoy and Asha also play balancing parents where Asha is flowing with Sonakshi's emotions and Bijoy is being practical - this happens in real life very much - I have seen it.
Either of the parent is emotional or practical.
