Kay guys! I've seen a lot of pleasant posts come on the forum today but can we be real for a second, how was this any less than a pretty darn cliched saas bahu show?!!!
First of all, I'm 14 here so I absolutely don't relate to the saas bahu stuff so I obviously didnt't find it realistic, but maybe others did. But how is this show any different to the TRP chart topping melodramas and the kitchen politics? Thankfully I have never seen anything like so cheap and cruel and manipulative in real life so its sad if people have manipulative mom's like Ishwari.

The reason we signed up to this show was cause of those simply stunning promos, not for this really stereotypical thing that every other show has! Honestly, I give up on CVs... Its not even unique anymore. :(

I agree. Nowadays the show doesn't have that interesting simple charm that mesmerizing unique screen play and writing any more. I can notice certain fatigue in the show. An air and feel of negativity pervading it all.

Sorry deaf it is not making sense to you.. But when the initial promos mentioned insecure mother and the couple, this is exactly what i thought they would show and i am very happy with the way they are showing all the issues that the couple face before and afrlter marriage due to insecure and obsessive mothers..
I love this track and it is being shown so realistically so far.. I am much much older than 14 .. btw

Hi.,
I can understand what you are saying but I will try to put in my thought here...

Initially they said it's a routine love story with touch of reality and they did so ...

Now in matter of uniqueness , to show the uniqueness they have to do something in common and the outcome should be unique and now the serial is in that phase...

In reality a DIL faces. Problems in her in laws soon after the marriage they are trying to show that phase and for that it's common in many houses this kind of situation or may be less.. may be CVs has opted to show a lil more drama ... But the uniqueness lies in how Dev and sona will understand the situation and handle this...

Every love story is not a fairy tale to have only lovey dovey scenes right ??.. we should bear with this little drama to get a unique outcome so let's wait and watch...

Dear ..

Since you have mentioned that you are only 14 , so I can understand you can't relate most of the stuff .

But If you watch the launching episode , makers clearly told that it is almost same story with difference .
That difference is implementation , that diffeence is how realistically factors they can put into the story .

So far I can say with my experience they are adding realistic things

What's stinging my brains at the moment is, how is this close to reality? Sonakshi wasn't going to go back initially, they are the ones who begged for her to be back. Like it is utter destruction of the female lead. Where is her strong headedness and her self respect? Why has she turned to a doormat? Where is the gender equality. The man has just been married and in 2 days he's back at work, conveniently avoiding the bullsh*t happening! And if Sonakshi had instead returned to work she would have been the target for all sorts of taunts. Also, what's the point of heavy makeup, silk Saree and that bun dorning woman who is constantly dusked to tears in the corner? Ishwari is a very confusing character too, one day she is being friendly and too polite, another day she is being a cruel and cheap freaking ugliest hearted human on earth. What about the prenuptial thing? She is apologizing for eating in front of presence of non veg food but doesn't regret an ounce of the fact that she stole her son's signature. What a lady! This show is heavy and highly melodramatic. It is heights of anything! I suppose you happen to be one of the few appreciating this track cause 90% of the posts happen to speak against this ridiculous storyline.

Darling am married for almost 8 years ( hoping this number will increase😆) .. Yes it is close to real but not real .It is fiction serial So they need to add drama elements.. Otherwise who is interested in watching the serial where everyone is only positive ? Even in real life in real family, every one is different 😳

Sona wearing saree, makeup and jewellery - When I got married believe me I was doing the same thing willingly..You definitely wants to look something different😆 and it feels good. Your life has changed. You need to accept big changes with smile on lips and not cribbing about saree, jewellery and makup. Specially doing it for my hubby grandmother. She was very happy to see me wearing saree and in jewellery. That smile I will never forget. I don't regret doing that. Last year as well his grandmother told me to wear saree some occasions (where everyone in my aged group was wearing salwar and not saree). Without a second doubt I wore just for her. It is that bad to compromise for 90 year old lady ? Can't I just compromise for family member? What is saying to me - wear saree ? Shld I take on my self resepct?

AS far as Ishwari part is concern - She is realistic as well- it is quite possible, some MIL does behave like her- sometime polite and sometime rude.. 😕 My MIL does behave like this honestly and very much - she sometimes even check and touched our personal stuff as well- ( Ishwari wants to know what is dev sent to sona was real scenes)

Pls don't be scared after reading my post - Married life is beautiful. Even though it is not necessary that you get along with your inlaws, but end of the day even they are important part of your life.

In marriage everything is not 2+2=4 , sometimes it is 22 as well.

We need to compromise, adjust, sometimes even do something which we don;t like.

Every time you can't think if wife/hubby is compromising , adjusting in new environment she/hebecomes doormat or she/he doesn't have self respect.

Rishte binane ke liye kabhi jhukna pade then hummein jhuk jana chaiye. Because woh rishte bhi toh humare hi hai..

P.S. sorry for long rant dear. I can go on and on .. Thankfully IF is stopping me for writing more 😆

Okay you seem to be much more experienced to those things than I am because, obviously I have never been married before! Also, because I probably will never commit to something like thatbecause I dont believe in love and stuff and I am definitely not jumping into some random person via arranged marriage. If you say some MILs are like her, I am totally avoiding this road because there is more behind this dirty kitchen politics. Personally, I live far from India (I'm Indo-Australian) and I don't live in a joint family, so that rules out my relate-ability with the show. However, I still watched it because it was something new. It was about the dynamics between these people. Now even Shaheer tweeted saying "its gone to a saas bahu drama" n Erica replied back saying "sad but true" so I find it disheartening when a good concept is butchered really. Also, the fact that all these things happen to be realistic does raise a lot of questions on a "misogynistic society" in the country because a lot of the traditions are really unfair and very very sexist.

😲 Oh yes don't worry when time will come & when Mr. prefect will come for you, you will automatically be ready for all these things.

AS shaheer and erica tweet is concerned- They were saying sarcastically😆 Chill for that as well.

Secondly even I am staying in australia.. Where do you stay in australia ?

KRPKAB has unfortunately become a saas bahu show, but it still is way different than any other show on Indian television right now. We should be grateful we aren't watching a show with naagins and kidnapping sequences.

Nevertheless the writers seriously have to fix Ishwari.
