Not 'ADHM', MS Dhoni biopic 'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story' was the first casualty of Indo-Pak tension

Hiten J Trivedi| Updated: Oct 7, 2016, 09.38 AM ISTNot 'ADHM', MS Dhoni biopic 'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story' was the first casualty of Indo-Pak tension
Now this is as shocking as it could get. For all those who thought that Karan Johar's 'AeDil Hai Mushkil' was the first casualty of the ban on Pakistani actors, you've got it wrong! Neither 'ADHM' nor SRK's 'Raees', but the recently released 'M.S. Dhoni - The Untold Story' was the first casualty of the latest Indo-Pak tension that rose its ugly head after the devastating Uri attack that claimed the lives of 19 soldiers.

As per the latest reports, if things would have been normal, the audience would have got to see Fawad Khan playing Virat Kohli's character in Dhoni's biopic. The actor had shot some important scenes with lead actor Sushant Singh Rajput, which highlighted the camaraderie between Dhoni and Virat's characters. The scenes were very crucial to the film, but right before the film's release, the unfortunate incident of Uri attack took place and all the Pakistani artistes were asked to return to Pakistan and a ban had been imposed on them.

Director Neeraj Pandey had no other option but to completely chop off Fawad's role from Dhoni's biopic and release the film without even a glimpse of the star. Neeraj felt it would be a sane decision to do away with Fawad's role or else his film too would have had to face the political ire and backlash from various quarters. We wonder how Fawad, who wasn't even aware of this shocking development, would react to his role being chopped off from the film.

What has been the funniest rumour you've heard about yourself?
The recent most was that I was playing Virat Kohli in M.S. DHONI: THE UNTOLD STORY. It was funny because I was never approached for it nor did I know about the film until the rumour came up. - See more at: http://www.glamsham.com/movies/news/16/mar/fawad-khan-didnt-know-about-ms-dhoni-the-untold-story-till-rumours-of-me-playing-virat-kohli-came-out.asp#sthash.3rNuL5Gc.dpuf

I thought Fawad khan is not related to bollywood after the ban. So why are media peopleso obcessed with it? Ban kar diya hai, ab aage badho yaar.

On topic, dont think he was ever part of the film. And if this news is true, good as many people will be elated. I hope his role from adhm is chopped off too.

why media and especially certain individuals call makers of movies money hungry, only want a profit etc.
Do they then keep posting regarding pakistani artists, and think they aren't doing it to supply demand and make money?

similar for the barking idiot who loves to hear his own voice and shut down any form of retaliation for his view who condemns directors and producers stating that they just want to make money. But himself brings uses Pakistani's to increase TRP/money.

so shameless dont be a hypocrite
