This was the rage and insecurity I had wanted to see in Viplav after the leap, not a man who dared the thought of keeping two wives to himself. When Akaash felt that he had been betrayed, he took a step back. When Viplav felt that Dhani had moved on, he forgot his own contradictory predicament and actively pursued his ex without any guilt or remorse. I still to this day can't get over this failure in Viplav's character sketch. Obviously no fault on Mishal for the weak characterization, but I thought as Akaash he was bang on in a similar situation. Goes to show what an actor can accomplish if he or she is given the right script.

No a single actor or actress, be it raja or kam or anyone else is respobsible for any track..

It was the horrible and most pathetic writers of our show who had destroyed the unique concept of ishq..

Every character.. Viplav, dhani, even the antagonists were terribly assassinated..

They made the vamps stoop so low that in the end it became absolutely impossible to bear even a second of their screen spaces..

Even the leads were terribly butchered..

Hate those CVS.. Hate them.. Worst group of writers ever..

Honestly the creative team of laagi and love story were many times better.. Even aryan, encounter and shaadi vaadi were great..

But still i will say that everything happened becoz of the early odd time slot.. Had it been given a primary slot, ikrs would not had struggled for ratings since the start and the writers could have moved slow and explore the love story of vidha in a better way..

Lekin phir bhi i will say that i have enjoyed the 13 months of ikrs.. Amidst all non sense we got our mishal back after a long time, enjoyed some superb acting chops by him and offcourse the beautiful chemistry of Viplav and dhani.. Love all of these.

You're right, Barb! There were just too many contradictions with IKRS! Viplav and Dhani were both butchered in the leap for no reason whatsoever. DT and KT were both ultra super villains that eventually became the biggest of cowards ever known in front of Kamini. I mean come on, seriously? Two people who had no conscience while devising plans to MURDER for their own selfish gains and stature were afraid of a vamp like Kamini? How on earth was that even possible? 🤢 You are right about the time slot, but I'm not too sure about the makers sticking to the concept of the show. Look at what happened to Uttaran. Uttaran had a primetime slot, raked in the TRPs, and was on air for six years. I'm sure the plot would've been lost somewhere, but it might not have been as bad as the 6:30 time slot. Even then Barb, the entire cast did the best they could with their roles. I'll forever be grateful to Mishal and Eisha for giving us Viplav, Dhani, and their beautiful story. 😳 What did you think of Mishal's acting in the links, Barb? 😊

Sigh i love mishal in them.. Have watched those videos many times and everytime i find them to be great .. That argument part of akruti in car and the song sequence.. I dont know why but i have always liked payal in LS.. she was really cute at that time and was perfect as shruti..

And what to say about mish.. A new comer's magical debut.. Love akash a lott..

His arrogance, stubborn nature as well as the romantic college going lover...every emotion of akash was brilliantly portrayed.. Mish was awesome in the shoes of akash.. Although there is nothing new in it.. When is he not?? 😳. Liked it that akash was not a manju faltu type hero.. He had the courage to say what was there in his mind instead of fearing that he might disappoint his lady love and lose her.. Love this attitude in him.. And shruti was also a sensible girl.. Instead of waiting and waiting for the boy to come first, she herself went and tried to bridge the gap and mend their relationship..

The script was so good.. Love LS.. and love akash and shruti.. I used to like mish-payal chem too..

Awww, I loved your dedication to MR! 🤗 That's right, Mishal has to come back for us! 😃

Again Barb, it all goes back to the script and the characterization. I could be wrong, but I think Love Story was a finite series. There was no room for delineation from the plot. Akaash was very relatable, Barb. He had flaws just like everyone else, but he was sensible and a had good set of core values. 😊 Viplav was perfection until the creatives decided to make him a walking contradiction. 😡 As Dutta, Mishal's work was cut out for him. Dutta was very intense with a lot of emotional baggage. His pain was unbearable. There's no doubt Dutta Bhau has been Mishal's best work to date because he had acting chops like no other to play this role to a paragon.

I totally agree, Mishal had a dream debut and a dream show in the form of Laagi Tujhse Lagan. I wish IKRS had been just as big of a hit in terms of the TRPs. I too liked Payel as Shruti. I admit she wasn't an amazing actress like Mahhi or Eisha, but I thought she was the perfect girl-next-door. 😊
