@Pajaji Sona lacks the strength to deny anything to Dev for long.

Agreed, I have the same feeling ...If I want to watch Sas babu show I would have watched any other sas babu serial ...why would I want to see this one...
People still sit thru this is because of Shaheer - Erica's beautiful chemistry . That is the USP of this show...even that they are not showing properly.

Its like they are using these two ppl just to capture the audience to see a sas bahu story that they want to say...😡 Its like 5 mins of dev and sona ...and 20 mins of sas bahu nonsense...I have decided that I will read the review and watch 5 mins of Sona and Dev on line 😉

PS : CVs shouldnt take us for granted...that we will watch any thing that they show us

@Payal- Sona might be mature and sensible but she's emotional and madly in love with Dev. One puppy dog face with a sorry and she's gonna melt like butter. She'll let everything go and she'll try to fit in the mad family again. Dev has that kind of control over Sona and I think he knows it but Sona still doesn't have the kind of control where she can refuse Dev for something or make him believe that his mother is not a goddess.

@Anna and Doctor
I seriously hope they show her telling Dev that first become a man and then try to be a husband

. And if the spoilers are to be believed there is going to be a huge fight most probably after the munh dikhayi because Ishwari was smirking when buaji was insulting Sona and she saw it.

So Dev babu will be in trouble at least for a few days and that helpfully might lead to buajis exit from the show. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Sona should learn to let go Dev...he has to come to her for who she is and not what he wants her to be.
She agreed soon for marriage.

As they say... when you love someone set him free if he comes back he is yours , if not he never was!!

Doctor Doctor Doctor 🤣 Why do you love to kill me 😆 ..

Oh so totally agree with these points. Specially for Ishwari and Sona. 🤪 Neither Ishwari nor Sona can trigger any sympathy in me because they have created all these mess themselves 😎 In this show I am only concerned about the Bose Family now. So I would comment on them first -

Bijoy Bose is such a BOSS 😆 No one can read the unhealthy relationship of Dev and Ishwari better than him 😆 .. Bijoy is not mahaan, he is just TOO irked to see his 26 yr old upbringing going down to drain with his precious daughter choosing such uncultured family for herself all on her own 😆 From his expressions, he looks so agitated and frustrated and definitely he doesn't try to act mahaan by fake-accepting the Dixits. This is my take on him 😆.

Sona is a gone case and indeed CV wants us to give that 'Mahaan' feeling for both Sona and Ishwari 😆 For Sona they have chosen the typical Gopi Bahu or Sasural Simar way where the bechari abala dukhiyari Bahu 😭 tolerates all the insults from inlaws and sucks upto it and in coming 200 episodes she will surely be winning Dadi Bua's heart 👍🏼 We will see some happy scenes of Dadi Bua refusing to eat her meal if Sona doesn't spoonfeed her Aadarsh Bahu Sona will win their hearts and even bring a change in everyone, will show the whole Dixit clan the true light of goodness and dharma thus winning the best Bahu of the year award 👏 Thus mahaan.

Ishwari - The GREATEST sacrifice of all - Giving away your favorite posession - your SON, the precious SON to someone else because unfortunately he wishes to spend his days and nights with another younger woman of his age 😭 In the love triangle, the woman lets go of her 'zid' and accepts the second woman in her boy's life 💔 From where did she get such stern attitude of 'saasdom' ? Of course from Dadi Bua. But she is no believer of ragging. Khoon ka badla no khoon ❤️ Rather she is just sooo sad to see Sona getting insulted time and again from Dadi Bua 😒 'Please don't say such things', 'why are you saying this to her' ? Rather say this to Sourabh and Elena 👍🏼 Or tell Sonakshi that you're nothing but my compulsion. 👏 Mahaan indeed. 😛

This show has become funny now 😆 The downfall began from destroying Ishwari's character, which led to Dev's downfall and then Sonakshi's downfall. Now to upgrade all of them at once, they bring Village Dadi Bua so that all Maa-Beta-Bahu can round up in a circle and cry on each other's shoulder and have victim 'pralaap'

Nonsense !

Now a days I am watching it out of habit, no emotion attached and Okay!! I am a sadist. 😆
Cause I was grinning when I was watching. Yes ! Dev and Sonakshi both deserved this. I so loved it. Because both were so 'blind' love that they totally forgot their reality. When Sonakshi asked Dev about Ishwari's intention I was laughing like a mad woman. Really! She was asking that particular question? Why? She knows everything about Ishwari, not like she came IM first that night. 😆

What a bang on post! I have been staying away from the forum and watching the show only for Shaheer and Erica. But what happened yesterday compelled me to rant. The mahaan syndrome that you've beautifully described also known as the 'hero complex' is something almost all of them suffer. Specially Ishwari. Though it is highly misplaced. But in this show, Dev is fond of playing the damsel in distress and his knight in shining armours are usually Sonakshi and his mommy. Yesterday's episode was a rude awakening for all of them.
But I found myself sitting there with a smug smile on my face through most of Sona -Dev's fight. Now, I chose this post to comment on coz I know you've read my FF: The Memory of Us. I remember your detailed review. Watching their fight yesterday, I was reminded of the time I wrote that fic. I knew this was coming. This is what happens when you don't deal with fundamental issues in your relationship. This is what happens when you shove things under the carpet. Hence, the smug smile.
But the thing that pissed me off was, in my fic I had mentioned that the separation track did not happen. That's why they couldn't deal with these issues and it all ended up affecting their married life. But in the show, we get a month long break up track, with Dev almost losing his sanity, and he STILL doesn't get it? How many times does he have to lose Sona to realise that his mother is insane? That she needs help. How can someone be this thick headed?! Telling your wife that he didn't question when her family insulted his mom is not how you calm your wife down, Dev. Not when she's raising valid questions. Your mother wouldn't have to bear those insults had you been a man and won her over on your own, without her help.
Sonakshi - You made your bed, darling. Now you gotta lie in it. I feel bad for you coz you have probably the best family in the world and you still chose this hell hole to spend your life in. But, love conquers all,eh? Well let me tell you something. Love doesn't conquer all. It conquers some things. But the other things? They beat the living crap outta love. I hope you don't have to realise this harsh truth the hard way!

I'm not trying to kill you :( Tumne kaha pehchaan kaun so I'm trying to figure you out 😆

Bijoy is the boss! I agree with that but what's the point of sulking now? His daughter has already married the oh-so-great Dixit and I don't think he can fix her issues now. He should have put his foot down when Ishwari was hell bent on getting Devakshi married. That'd have made more sense IMO.

Now that I think about it, I feel Neha is so lucky to have a family like Ranveer's. They surely have money issues but the famous so warm and supportive. There are no mind games and uncalled insults. They don't demean their bahu unnecessarily. I hope at least Neha observes this and sorts out her issues with Ranveer.

Thanks for the reply. It's always good to read your opinion :)

Thanks for the comment.
I think even Dev suffers the 'mahaan' syndrome. He became mahaan for the viewers when he decided to hide Sona's infertility from everyone to keep everybody 'happy' and not to 'hurt' the sentiments of his beloved but did he think about the consequences? No, because mahaan people think of the sacrifices they make not their result. He acts like a damsel in front of Ishwari, like he's a lost puppy or something, like someone forced him to do all the bad deeds. He stops replying to all the logical questions in front of his goddess and just chants 'I love you the most maa' and the job is done. Maa is there to defend all his and her wrongdoings.

Ishwari is so mahaan, I can't even decipher why she's so great. The fact that adds to her ego is that everybody starting from Mamaji to Dev tell her convince her that she's indeed great and there's no mother greater than her. I don't know why everybody treats her like a goddess. She's a human being, she can be wrong. Only Sona and Neha can see her facade, others are either blind or don't really care.
