First of all wrong was all the anger, the constant and never-ending stream of hatred from both sides. I wish we get back our old shravan and suman soon! I don't think I can say much else, as CVs are set in their ways and the story line they have currently on, but please make it the other side of this hatred into the love category soon! And another thing is shravan's constant drinking, give it a rest, bro! It's like every episode we have shravan hitting the bottle with different featuring guests while pouring out his life woes, first was aditya, then the servant, then the imaginary sumo, and now finally shravan's "devta" reincarnated pitashree. Can the CVs give all the bottle hitting a rest? đ
What was right with the episode? Well, for me, Suman's fabulous put-down! And I honestly don't understand why so many people are calling her "self-centered" and such things, I think what she said was LONG coming and very apt, today has officially restored my faith in sumo! There is only so much you can take before your morale hits all time low and you have to HIT back, not for anybody else, but for your own self-respect and esteem. Shravan's misogynistic comments have been forthcoming for a while now, so why instead of condemning him, people are displeased with suman? What did she do? Except tell shravan that no she is not merely a Mrs. Malhotra now that she has married him, no she hasn't lost her identity and no, he has no right to tell her to sit home and hand over her business to someone else just because he deigned to marry her and ordered her to do so!
Forgive me, but what kind of bullshit is that? Are people really endorsing such neanderthal thinking? She is not allowed to run her business because her husband says so?! she gained independence and supported her entire family with her business, just to marry someone who says her business is worthless, that her capabilities to earn are worthless?! I say, shame on that type of thinking! She gave PERFECTLY put reply questioning shravan's own independence, and his constant reliance on his father, contrary to her sole efforts to build up her business and not relying on any such person. Shravan was flying too high with this constant taunts, I think it was time to bring him down to earth. And great that she did it in front of his family because if he can insult her in front of his family then why should she try do it behind closed doors?! And I absolutely see nothing wrong with her telling kamini chachi to call her friends in the evening, she had something important to do, it's not that big of deal. In normal households, people have all kinds of job related circumstances, moving around the time of social callers is not a crime! And in her favor, she did ask very polity and with respect.
Basically, my wounded faith in suman is restored! Thank god she is not a doormat, who can only take in people's insults and taunts, and thank god she knows how to GIVE back. She is not the quintessential devi so often shown in serials and I'm proud of her for that. That's all!
