Fawad Khan's scenes chopped from ADHM's Channa Mereya!

Owing to the current tension between India and Pakistan after the recent Uri attacks, the situation for Pakistani artists like Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Mowra Hocane and others has been tricky.
The actors received threats from MNS and were asked to leave India within 48 hours. MNS workers also staged protests outside Karan Johar's office and residence since his upcoming film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil stars Fawad.
Amidst this, the makers of ADHM have unveiled a new song Channa Mereya from the movie, which has struck the right chords with the audience already. But a little birdie has informed us that the song had to be edited before the release, as all scenes of Fawad Khan has been chopped.
"Since the controversy around Pakistani artists has picked up pace, the makers didn't want to complicate things and hence decided to edit Fawad's scenes in the song so that there is no new controversy. There was an engagement scene in Channa Mereya between Anushka and Fawad, which has been edited and only one frame of him hugging Ranbir and Anushka is retained in the song," informs our source.
