Preet and Meher

Meher sat and started to cry silently. Her tears couldn't stop. This couldn't be possible. Preet hasn't left. He'll be back. He'll be back for her, for their Gungun and for their most awaited baby. The cricket team had to be complete.
It's been one month since Prem announced to all the family that Preet was no more. The whole family broke into pieces, everyone has that deep pain in their hearts. Meher tried her best to deal with all this situation. She had to be strong for Gungun and for her baby. Prem mentioned only the death but they haven't seen Preet and they never gave him the last rituals.
Was it a sign that Preet could be still alive ? May be the police got confused when they were doing the investigations at Viren's house...Maybe someone else's life was taken ? Was it possible ?
From the past one month, Meher wasn't in a state to think properly. The hearbreaking news deeply affected her. Even if she knew that there was still a small ray of hope, she somehow accepted the fact that Preet will never come back...
Today they were going to celebrate their 7th wedding anniversary...
The day when they both accepted each other as husband and wife...
The day they promised they'll always love each other
The day when their hearts and souls became one...
Meher went outside to take some fresh air...she always loved going outside to the beachside and remember her memories...
- - Preet, I miss you so much ! It's been 7 years, but I'm still here...coming here everyday and sit on the same bench... I still remember Preet ! It's here that you proposed me to marry you !
Meher's strenght broke at this moment and started to cry... from all her heart and soul... She couldn't take it anymore !
She was still crying when suddenly her phone rang.

- Hello Meher ! Oh it was Heer ! Realized Meher.
- You've missed your appointement for your check up today, Please come at the hospital now ! You can't miss your check up like this. Hurry up !
Meher forced herself to stand up, but she was feeling very weak due to all her emotions emerging up. She was about to fall when a strong yet known pair of arms caught her.
Her eyes were closed in fear then she heard a voice...

This can't be possible ! Preet ? No ! She didn't wanted this dream to end ! Her Preet was talking to her !
- Meher ankhein kholo ! Please ankhein kholo...
Meher opened her eyes and couldn't believe it. Her Preet was here ! She has been missing hearing his husky yet sweet voice so much !
- Preet... Sach mein tum ho ? She said before fainting in his arms.
- Meher ! Meher ! Utho naa ! Tum mujhe aise chor ke nahin jaa sakti ! Meher ! Meher ! Meher !
Preet put Meher carefully on the bench and tried tomake herwake up by throwing some drops on water on her face...
Few moments after, Meher slowly opened her eyes...and was shocked to see Preet...
- Preet ! Is that you ? Sach mein ? Please tell me this is not a dream and you're back ! Preet ! Why are you silent ? Baat karo mujhse ! Meher was no longer shocked but now angry.
- Meher, please shaant hoja ! I'm sorry ! Let me explain you what...
- Shut up Preet ! Kahan the tum ? Itne saalon thak ?
- Meher, said Heer joining them... Calm down please calm down I'll explain everything to you...
- Kya ? Didi Aap ? You knew ? said a shocked Meher
- Meher, actually I knew everything. Viren tried to kill Prem but Preet came to save him. Prem could escape but Preet was surrounded by a huge fire. Almost all his body was burnt and he was rushed to the hospital. In which condition he was, I can't even tell you Meher. My doctors mate informed me few weeks back that it was Preet who has been brought to the hospital. I was shocked ! Because we all accepted the fact that Preet was no longer with us. But Meher, this is a miracle ! Preet is still with us and...
- You kept all the things for yourself Didi ? Why you haven't told me about this ?
- Meher, said Preet, I couldn't come back home in such a situation, I can't even imagine their reaction if they saw me like that... Especially Gungun... How would I face our baby and how would I face you ??? I have scars through all my body... and soul *sighed Preet*
Meher remained silent. She couldn't believe that Preet was back and Heer's team doctors took the duty to cure Preet in the best way possible.

Heer was watching the two lovers, and tears of happiness came to her eyes. She left the place without disturbing Meet who were lost in their own world.
- Preet, I love you so much, even after all these years you're still looking like the same Gulaab Jamun I fell in love with !
- And you're still the same Soni Punjabi kuddi who has stole my heart forever he said, while taking her into a warm and passionate hug.
