Did anyone else felt Sultan guilt shame and tried to emotional black mail Aarfa infront of an entire audience? Was it really his place or time to put her under the spotlight? Clearly they had an issue between a personal matter between them and were living seperately and not even on talking terms. Is it fair for any husband to put his wife under the spotlight in front of random nobodies so that she is guilt shame or emotional blackmailed while asking their help to get them together?
He also mentioned "Hamare yaha divorces nahi hote". My question is are divorces really bad? Should people be made to suffer to avoid social stigma? If a relationship is not working out between two people isn't it much better to say your peace and take a divorce? Was he out of bounds by speaking about her on national TV?
People don't see that this is a small sample of a much widespread issue. Where a girl is not allowed to move on with her life. A divorce is stigmatised and made to feel like a piece of shit or a used goods. She let him be and walked out without much drama. He should have afforded her some decency. But aisa real life mein bhi hota hai. Divorce wali ladkiyon ko uske ex sasural wale hamesha character assasinate karte hai. Khud ka beta to shadi kar lega lekin wo ladki ka jeena hamesha haram karenge fir keede dalenge.
