Hated it!
What a crapfest!

I couldnt connect with the Bajirao and Mastani story. Awful.

Ranveer was good.

PC was the star of the show! She rocked it as Kashi bai.

Also, this film is overrated af. So is SLB.

Ranveer was surprisingly brilliant..and PC was great as Kashi..Deepika cudnt evoke the same emotions for me..story-wise, I am not fond of adultery being justified as "love" so no thanx..one time watch..

As a male audience, i found the 2nd half boring and too long...

Movie was carried upon by Ranveer's acting...pc and dp were good too...Ranveer received all awards that's why

great visuals to watch
totally unnecessary but visually stunning and well choreographed dance songs.

SLB trying hard to do a Henry8-Katharine of Aragon- Ann Boleyn with the trio and failing

Absolutely stunning looking deepika in mohe rang do laal, amazing choreography and well executed by dipla even though she is no kathak dancer.

complete murder of history yet one time good watch on big screen.

ETA: PC as Kashibai, deserves national award

hate such people
Jhillmill was chipku and attention seeking also but her love was selfless unlike kashi.. can't explain but I find Jhilmill loveable and kashibai selfish

Overall, I liked the movie. Grand sets and opulence all around. What's not to love? I loved Ranveer's acting though I do have complaints about how SLB etched out his character. The real Bajirao was a warrior. They did show case that side of him but not enough for me. Ranveer's Bajirao was a wuss in 'wuv'. Deepika as Mastani looked drunk throughout the movie. Like she was in a trance or something. There are better ways to express those emotions. 😕

PC's Kashibai was perfect for me. The wife who got cheated upon, her myriad of emotions, her pain, her anger, etc...beautifully portrayed by PC. Loved her. Ranveer & PC were the saving grace of an insipid story. Otherwise it would've been a dud.

I was besotted with the visuals and so was my family. We were completely awed by Ranveer's portrayal of Bajirao. I felt pity for Bajirao throughout the movie, much more than for the other two characters. His helplessnes as an Individual inspite of being a peshwa, the powerful warrior was definitely stunning to watch. For me all the characters played their characters well. Mastani wasn't that in the face as a lover that's why mostly everyone was underwhelmed when it comes to the love between Bajirao and Mastani but like DP and Ranveer said that they had to cut the movie short so prolly that was the sacrifice. Mastani and Bajirao did grow on me eventually while PC with her brilliance as Kashi made my heart bleed too.
Haven't seen at home as yet but watching it at theatre definitely made the experience much better. BB as a story was good but for me it doesn't even come close to being the Best movie of the year.

I keep telling people - had this movie not clashed with Dilwale, it would have fared averagely with far less critical acclaim

Sometimes clash actually helps

Dilwale was so crappy in comparison and the clash had so much hype that most people checkout both and BM surged ahead.
