No Madhuri is not left heartbroken... Bcz the ending doesn't change... The dog reunites them still 😃

But still the audience at that time wouldn't have accepted it and like others said here it doesn't happen that much in real life, while widowed Jija, Sister-in-law marriage is common

lol what is unrealistic here ??

it happens in every other marriages be it our older generation or ours ! the first thing they do in these get togethers is enquiring abt unmarried girls/boys and exchanging janam kundalis ! and youngsters flirting each other !

may be in mars it sounds like unrealistic otherwise it is pretty much happens every where in planet earth !!

hahk changed the roop naksha of film industry for good. those were the days when mohras, suhaags, aatish,krantiveers, were ruling, and came an unrealistic (that's what you wanna call nah😆), and HISTORY!!!

not all unrealistic movies can do wonders like hahk did. its those unrealistic moments, songs, dances, ...that made this movie realistic😆.

i absolutely luvvvd this unrealistic movie, its one of my all time fav movie.

I actually find it more relatable. I have a huge close net family on both sides.. Ofcourse things arent hunky dory between everyone all the time.. But gatherings are usually fun and interesting.. The romance shown was very typical early 90s
