AVTA 2016: Nominations process opens
Asian Viewers Television Awards (AVTA) organisers have officially opened the nomination process for its 2016 event.
In its third year, the AVTA's will be taking place on Saturday 26th November 2016 at a prestigious central London venue, where the winners are determined by the viewers. After the success of the last two years, organisers believe this year's event will be bigger and better.
Once again playing host to a star studded line up of guests and fabulous entertainment; The 2016 AVTA will consist of 12 award categories nominated completely by the viewers. Once the top three nominations are determined; public voting will take place to determine the winner of each category.
This year's awards see the addition of a new category: Chinese Channel of the Year
The categories open for nominations this year are as follows:
News Channel of the Year
Reality Programme of the Year
Music Channel of the Year
Urdu Channel of the Year
Punjabi Channel of the Year
Bengali Channel of the Year
Chinese Channel of the Year
Best of British
Soap of the Year
Male Actor of the Year
Female Actor of the Year
General Entertainment Channel of the Year
Viewers will be able to nominate in each category from Thursday 15th September 2016 at www.avta.tv
