Kajol Srivastav,who belongs to Panna,Madhya Pradesh is brought up in Mumbai.She started her career in a small role in Star Plus's Ek Ghar Banaunga.She went on to do many shows like Oye Jassie,Mooh boli shaadi,Badi Devrani,etc.She was finalized to play Bulbul in Kumkum Bhagya but her role in the show didn't start.She later bagged the role of Devi in Chakravartin Ashok Samrat which is the biggest show and the most important role of her career so far.

Kajol plays the role of Devi who is the daughter of a merchant called Dhaniram in Ujjain. Devi is chirpy, bubbly gal with a heart of gold who has huge respect for Dharma and is a good friend of Vitt. She dislikes Ashok for his 'Chand' nature but always helps him whenever he needed her.

Later on she and her father got into big trouble because of Ashok's family but Ashok saves them. She feels indebted to him and decides to reunite him with his childhood love Kaurvaki. She tries her best to get Ashok and Kaurvaki closer to each other.She even confronts Ashok when he doesn't accept Kaurvaki's love and makes him realize how deep is Kaurvaki's love for him.She even challenges Kaurvaki's father Jagannath that she will never let him break Ashok and Kaurvaki's relationship.

But fate had something else in store for her.Due to circumstances, Ashok and Kaurvaki's relationship breaks and Ashok forcibly marries Devi.

After marriage, Devi has accepted this truth that Ashok can never love her the way he loves Kaurvaki.

She is now supporting Ashok in every situation and is helping him in finding his mother's murderers and fulfill his mission.
