Synopsis
Eight year old Janani stood in the temple of Thiruchanoor, her eyes closed in concentration. She loved this temple, Alamelumanga's Temple, Bhudevi's abode on Earth. Thiruchanoor was always visited by devotees who sought the blessings of Lord Venkateshwara at the monumental Thirupathi.
"Akkkaaa!" hissed her brother, Krishna. Irritated at being interrupted from her prayers, she glared at him, earning herself a glare from her mother. Shrugging, she closed her eyes again.
In Ksheer Sagar, Lord Vishnu and Bhudevi smiled. Their daughter had come to them.
"Our baby, our Janani, will soon be united with us, Dhyaan Priye," said the Lord, smiling at His consort.
"She will, Swami. Mother and daughter will be united."
"Never to be separated again, Priye."
Hi! I am back, with the prologue of the story. Please do read and review! 😊
Prologue
Mahalakshmi sat in Ksheer Sagar, massaging Narayana's feet, a smile adorning her features.
"Priye?" said the Lord, smiling serenely at Her. "What is making you smile lovingly?"
"My daughter has been born, O Lord. My shankha has been reborn. My sister, Mandavi, has been reborn. "
"I know, Priye. She will meet you when she starts understanding things, and you will never be separated."
"Swami?"
"Love?"
"Will she face sacrifices on Earth, even as she did in Treta?"
"Priye, there is always a purpose everyone fulfills. You will learn of hers, when you meet her."
"As you say, Purushottama. Swami, what will she be called?"
"To the world, she will be Janani. To us, Priye, she will be our Pragati."
"I like that name, Lord. Progress. Pragati."
"The word summarizes her life. Pragati."
"Swami? She will be a bhakt?"
"She will. Her full Bhakti will be realized after she meets you, her Ma. Bhudevi."
"So, the Bhudevi part of me is her Ma?"
"Yes, my Dhyaan Priye is her Ma."
"Swami, there is more."
"You will know, Priye. If I am all-knowing, you are my Ardhangini," said He, smiling mysteriously.
"I will never understand your Leela, Pran Nath."
"You will, in time, Priye."
Shaking Her head at Him, She watched Her daughter, Her Pragati, from Her abode, Vaikuntha.
