Disclaimer - I am a HUGE fan, and this is NOT a bashing post. I am genuinely confused.
KRPKAB has been making me uncomfortable in the last few episodes, and today's episode has made it even worse for me. Why ? Well, let's see...

1) The whole mom son thing was always a given, and I was prepared for it to be amped up...but lately it just seems to me that the whole relationship is being forced down our throats. Now, when I hear their dialogues of love and devotion...it almost seems to me that the writers are trying too hard to convince us of it. Wen that happens...i.e you need to make it so 'in your face' for the audience...isn't there something amiss ? I genuinely used to 'get' Ishwari earlier, irrespective of whether i liked it or not. Now - I feel she has gone from realisitic to 'soapy melodramatic'. And that was NEVER my KRPKAB. IS it TRP pressure...to make her like all the other soap moms so that more people watch ?? Or , like I said...just trying too hard to show us something we DON'T need hammered into our heads ??

2) This whole post break up 'relationship' between Dev & Sona. Yes - Dev's character is consistent in being weak, impulsive and emotional...kudos to writers for keeping that up. And Sona was shown to be strong. But now, suddenly, we seem to have veered way off..
- The whole stalking business is just nuts, and totally at odds with the mature way this started
- Dev seems to have convenient amnesia about his decision to break up...and there is not a HINT of remorse. Yes, he doesn't think...but we know he does realize stuff when Sona tells him. So now ?? Even after she keeps repeating that it was his call...he ignores it. Are we to assume that is his escapism...and he WILL realize it ? Or , as the new promo tells us...he'll just continue to ignore it...and hence leave the audience cheated ??
- Today, Sona lost the plot, for me...she's ready to marry him at an instant, seems to not be angry...because he got drunk and lay wasted with his Dev das pieces of paper ? Understanding why he did it - she already did. So was it fake anger? Or was she running in the hope that he will realize his errors and come to her...but now she sees he won't so let's give up ?? It really wasn't what I expected from this character ...

3) LAstly, what for me has been the strength of the show...realism. With each passing episode, with Dev becoming crazier, I feel like that realism is chipping away. Yes, stalkers exist...and yes, KRPKAB is STILL more real than anything else on tv. But the new promo kind of make me stop in my tracks...it was too theatrical, and I fear we may finally move past the 'still realistic' stage...drunk guy crashing engagement, engagement called off blah blah blah.

I know most people will respond that we should wait n watch...well, I am. But I have a lot of discomfort with where we are headed. The CVs seem to be backing themselves into corners from where getting out will require either amnesia, or suspension of belief, or character u turns. That, for me, is not KRPKAB.

Frankly speaking the last scene between DevAkshi in yesterday's episode made it all crystal clear... Dev accepted, he know that he has become a stalker. But he can't help it. She was his reason to live... She was his reason to breath... And now he is lifeless without her. The mere thought of her moving on with someone else shattered him. He was doing all the stupid things, but even he didn't know why was he behaving that way.

He talked to her calmly... Told her everything and she listened to it... She said all she wanted too. Even she love him the way he does and she cannot see him in this state. If he'll continue to hurt himself, she'll be the one to break.

What a commendable scene. And for Ishwari, i have read an article recently where a family came to meet Supriyaji and they had faced the same problem.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Agree with you. The new promo is really Bollywoodish. Some more of this kind of stuff will make this show on par with all ordinary shows on TV.
