Res for end
-------------------
He wept.
He wept for what he put Sumo through.
He wept for where he brought them.
He wept for the 10 long years of agony.
He wept for his best friend that deserted him when he needed her the most.
He wept for his mother who left him like he meant nothing.
He wept for his lost childhood.
He wept like never before.
She kept caressing his back. Whispering sweet nothings and promises. She had never seen him so weak, so broken. No, not even when she broke his heart. Not even when his mother left. She knew not what brought him to do this to himself. She knew not why he apologised so. She knew but one thing, it broke her heart to see him this way. This wasn't her Shravan, her Shravan was strong, her protector. Or was he? Was he always this hurt? Was he always this broken? Why didn't she soothe his pains earlier? Why did she ever let him go!
Pushkar now knew his brother would be fine. He didn't have a clue of what had surpassed, but his brother had his life in his arms right now and it would all be fine. He walked out the room not before stealing a glance at the two most beloved people in his life. He closed the door behind him.
"Shravan, bas... bas.. shhh... shaant... mai hoon na... shhh"
"Su...mo... ma...mai... so...ryy.."
"Shh Shrava, accha bas, tum baitho, yahan bed pe baitho.."
"Nahi" He didn't want to let her go. He was afraid this was another figment of his imagination and the moment he let go, Sumo would be gone.
"Shravan, meri baat suno" She said holding him tight, "Mai kahin nahi jaaongi, I promise. Bharosa hai na mujh pe"
He merely nodded, tightening his grip further.
"Accha baitho, ek.. ek minute, please baitho"
He reluctantly let go of her and sat, still holding her hand tight, as though this one connection was enough to keep him sane.
Sumo held his hand, sat in his lap so that he could bury his face in the crook of her neck, while she got his hand to encircle her. "Dekha, nahi gayi na kahin mai"
"Na..nahi" He spoke between sobs.
"Shhh, bas Shravan" She whispered holding him tight.
They sat there in peace. She held him firm. His sobs grew softer and his breathing was getting even.
"Sumo?"
"Hmm.."
"Tumse kuch kehna hai..." His voice trailed.
PRECAP:
"Sumo sab meri galti hai"
"Kya keh rahe ho Shravan?"
"Sach keh raha hoon. Yeh sab meri galti hai"
