Suman descended down the stairs of the mansion in a graceful way, holding onto her lehenga delicately.
She looked no less than a Goddess descending to the Earth from abode.
With her cheerful and satisfied smile, she came and sat down on the mandap.
Now only one thing was missing. Shravan.
It was now only 10 minutes left for the muhurat for marriage to get over but still no trace of Shravan.
So many calls and messages to him by everyone, yet no response.

She got up and headed towards Pushkar.
She kept her hand on his shoulder as her eyes questioned him about his whereabouts.
He shook his head, apologetically.
She looked down and moved forward.

She came and stood at the threshold of the door while her eyes searched for her soul mate.
Everybody looked her with worried eyes.
Rondiyan ne chham chham karke

But no one knew what Suman was actually feeling. More than being hurt by Shravan's disappearance she was more concerned about his well being, about her Shravan being alright.

She wiped some lone tears which managed to escape her eyes and headed towards her family and others who were in the hall, waiting on Shravan.
Bhul gayi'aan jindri de raaste
She went up to Pushkar and asked for the car keys.
Pushkar took them out and handed over to her but even before he or anybody else could question her, she left.

Pushkar followed behind her, only to see the car speeding away.

"Please take care of her, God." He whispered a little prayer, closing his eyes.
*Music - 14 sec.*
Suman was driving furiously on the roads as she didn't stop for any traffic lights or anything.
Only thing which she knew was, she had to reach Shravan's house.
"Please don't let anything happen to him, God. Please. Please keep him alright. I.. I can't live without him." She said breaking down into sobs.
On reaching her destination, she parked her car and ran towards the mansion quickly.
She patted the door.
"Shravan! Shravan! Are you there? Please open the door!" She shouted with concern lingering in her voice.
Duniya ki bheed mein main tanha si ho gayi
Paakar jo tujhko khoya
Khud hi main kho gayi
When she tried to open the door, the door opened on its own.
She wiped her wet cheeks and slowly entered inside.
The house was all messed up, not a thing at its place.
It was as if someone had robbed the house.
Suman ran towards Shravan's room, but he was nowhere.
She also checked his lockers and cupboards to find them perfectly locked, which means there was no robbery in the house.
Duniya ki bheed mein main tanha si ho gayi

Khud hi main kho gayi
"Then what could have happened? Shravan is a cleanliness lover, he can't mess up his home like this. Then what?" Suman thought aloud while she rubbed her forehead in frustration.
Kya bataun tere bin
Kajal se hai yeh din
Taare bhi bujhe bujhe hain raat mein
"DAMN IT!! Where are you, Shravan? ?"she whined and crashed down on the bed in dismay.
She was about to call his office for any details when Pushkar's call came in.

Suman : Haan (yes) Pushkar.. Bolo (speak)..
Pushkar : Umm.. Suman.. why don't you come back now?
Suman : Why? Is everything alright there? And I am sorry, I took quite a lot of time.
Pushkar : Uhh.. no problem. But just come back soon. Okay?
Suman : I will. But is everything alright?
Pushkar : Yeah.. yeah. You just come back soon.
Suman : Hmm.. okay.
Call disconnected.

"Why was Pushkar sounding so shaky? I hope everything's alright there.. I think, I should go back." Suman said to herself as she exited the house and went to her home.
*Music - 21 sec.*
Suman got down the car and entered her mansion to find it unusually quite.
The deadly silence gave chills down her backbone.
"What happened Nanu? Why is there so much silence? " she asked in an attempt to get rid of that unwelcoming silence..
.. just like the one before the storm.
Raahon mein baithe baithe
Nain pathra gaye
Khushiyon ke honthon pe
Dard kaise aa gaye
She ran over to Nirmala, who stood there like a stone.
She shook her lightly from the shoulders, asking for attention and the answer to her questions.
Nirmala didn't respond even a little.
Suman's fear was now at it heights as everybody refused to answer her, be it her Nanu or even her beloved Nirmala aunty.
Nobody talked, just silent tears cascaded down from their eyes like a never-ending river.
Raahon mein baithe baithe
Nain pathra gaye
Khushiyon ke honthon pe
Dard kaise aa gaye
She at last tried to go to Pushkar to ask answers to her unanswered questions when she stumbled and fell.
She stumbled on something cold and soft lying in the centre of the hall.
She looked down slowly at the cause of her fall..
and just kept on staring, wordless.
Her hand went on his chest automatically as she grabbed the white sheet down.
Her doubt was cleared.
The worst she thought, came out to be true.
Her world came down in million little fragments in front of her eyes.
Sapne jo roothe roothe
Jud ke jo dil hai toote
Tooti hain lakeere bhi ye haath mein
"SHRAVAN!" She yelled in pain at the top of her voice.
Her hands caressed his now bloodied face, constantly asking him to get up.
Every success, every luxury, everything of the world now seemed nothing in Suman's eyes.
If someone offered her to trade everything which belongs to her with Shravan's life. She wouldn't have even taken a second and said yes.
She cried holding onto him as if she would never let him go away.
But only if she accepted that he was already gone.
Nana ji, Nirmala aunty, Pushkar, Preeti, Maama ji and all looked at her devastated state, themselves broken from inside.

Suman now laid her head on his once beating heart and entwined her fingers with his.
She kissed his hand gently and said, "I will never let you go."
She closed her eyes as silent tears still fell from them.
She stayed in that position for a long time.
After a few minutes, Maami ji went up to Suman to take her inside and continue with Shravan's last rites.
"Suman.. come on beta, get up." Manju said softly as she lovingly caressed her daughter's hair.
She stayed as she was.
"Suman.." she called out to her a bit louder this time as she patted her cheeks gently.
As she touched her cheeks, she found her body abnormally cold and it didn't take much time for Manju to understand what happened.

She was no more.
She left along with her soul mate, on a journey of their own and to find their own little world in abode.
If not Earth, maybe Heaven was the place where there were destined to meet.
'I will never leave you' was what Suman promised to Shravan.
And she didn't break her vow.

Sorry for that heart breaking ending though.
And yeah, Pushkar had quite a chunk in this one.. because I couldn't think of someone else to play that part. I think he suited in it. Did he?
