Yash Patnaik you ruined Dev Dikshit. You know who is playing that role? It is Shaheer. Heart Throb Of Millions including me. He has millions of fans in India and outside India.

You know what when you released the initial promos I really felt elated that Shaheer again got a marvellous role on par with Ananth and Arjun.But what did you do? You elevated the heroine and made many viewers despise Dev Dikshit for his inconsistent,erratic behaviour.

Did you know. how Shaheer's past roles made him a superstar? May be you never watched Navya

The fresh love story that won so many admirers and stood special despite IPKKND being telecast on the same channel that time. Navya's Ananth Bajpai enamoured viewers with his fresh,energetic vibrant presence. Along with Soumya Shaheer got many awards for Navya.IN UK they conducted a poll and Anant Navya won the Jodi award along with Arnav and Khushi. Such was the impact of Navya's Anant. Both the leads got equal. importance and well etched charecterisation.

Mahabharat. Arjun. The role gave Shaheer world wide fame and acclaim. Shaheer worked so hard and lived the role of Arjun to perfection. It looked as if the real Arjun stood before our eyes. His body language ,his physique,his dialogue delivery everything contributed a lot to make the role immortal in people's memories. As an ardent Arjun fan who wrote a thesis on Arjun of MBH and got Doctorate degree I found the serial distorted but still appealing . Shaheer bowled me over with his portrayal.

He became Arjun forever to me.

Yash Patnaik You must have watched the fan frenzy when Shaheer went to Infonesia.Media felt that except Sharukh none enjoyed that much adulation and passion like Shaheer did. He became the superstar . Mahabharat got telecasted there and Shaheer reigned supreme. Then they telecasted Navya also. ANTV understood the following Shaheer had among the people.Now they are going to telecast KRPK also. They know how to utilise Shaheer's popularity.

Dev Dikshit son of Iswari Dikshit.A leading business man,a caring brother,and a compassionate. Employer who helps his employees in need.

Did you remember the first Episode Mr Patnaik. The elated son proudly bringing his mother to the new mansion in the same locality. The feel you gave me is that of a mother son story where the girl enters but has to wait because of the disapproval of Boy's mother.

But you totally went against the promos and made the story in a different way that just goes in a different direction.

You made Dev ditch the heroine in the most despicable way. You made Dev look insensitive,ill mannered and rude.

After that now you did a 360 degrees turn around. You made him repent from the next day itself. And then now you will show him as a stalker.What more do you want to do with Dev?

So you want every one to hate Dev and applaud Sonakshi Bose. You achieved your purpose.

Shaheer I already said. They did injustice to Dev's role.I feel the same now and it hurts.

PS.This is an attempt to unleash my anguish and pain on seeing the charecterisation of Dev Dikshit.

And I again declare I am an ardent Shaheer admirer. So it depends whether to like it or not...

I think Dev has been shown as a very impulsive, rude character. Sona mellowed him down... She is his guiding light and without her he will continue to be the brash and ruthless person he is.

I have analyzed multiple posts and episodes and I think Dev's character has been fairly consistent so far.

There are numerous posts... some of which I have made trying to understand Dev and how he broke up... But if he handled it.. though impulsive is in tune to how Dev would have reacted... Dev removes the problem does not bring solution to the problem.

Sorry don't agree with you... But my heart still goes out to Dev Dixit. For me it is the character first and the actor next...

But each man to his own.

You liked anant and not Dev? Is it because Anant was the most desirable boyfriend? Who'd always be doing the right thing and would do all the heroic things for his girl?

Well.. if it is so then I cannot help.

Dev Dixit isn't that easy going like Anant Bajpai. There isn't any comparison at all. Dev has done several mistakes for sure.

You are saying that the makers want the fans to hate Dev and applaud Sonakshi and that it is injustice to his role. Then lemme tell you my friend, there are ppl here who are still loving Dev. We know he has done some big mistakes, but alot of ppl (including me) are not hating him at all.

So why are you afraid that ppl would hate Dev when you himself are hating him?

Dev Dixit is one very natural character I feel, who'd commit alot of mistakes, regret them later on and would still be loved. This is the best thing I feel. They've not shown him as perfect boyfriend who is always doing the right thing.

This makes me love the character even more.

I don't think there has been any injustice done to either Shaheer or Dev's character😕I think this is an absolutely marvelous role too which is giving him another opportunity to portray so many different shades and emotions of the character. And I am sure Shaheer was aware of how the character is going to be portrayed and accepted the role as per his wishes, right? Yes, there are some actions of the character which are not likable or disappointing, but it is a part of the storyline. Elevated the heroine? Just because one character is making mistakes, there isn't a need to make the other character make mistakes too to bring them to the same level.Let the storyline develop. They are going to show Dev as a changed man too.😊

First of all I want to thank you for wat u write about Shaheer.As this is the first time m watching any serial of Shaheer on a prime channel. I still remember that once on one of posts I jokingly said if Shaheer is a star in Indonesia ,toh SRK bhi toh Kuch hoga...and I never tried to find out the truth...but as you are saying that Shaheer is as popular as SRK , for me it's unbelievable...haan let me tell you I m not SRK fan...
After reading ur post I really want to watch mb and navya... I can't watch on Hotstar but like my daughter downloaded sm episodes of best of luck Nikki,main bhi aisa kahi se jugad kar sakun...
One thing more, as u know much about Shaheer, so asking this to u...y people call him Superman? Mujhe toh Kuch aise nahi dikhta..
.Coming to ur problem with dev...love it or hate it..up to you...
But I am luving it... yummy.

It appears to me that you are talking about Shaheer more than his character Dev. They are two different things. Why are you talking about his status here?

I am ok with his character development as Dev. Its good producers are not showing a perfect hero in the form of Dev - Dev has flaws...not many serials dare to show this aspect and being one of the finest actor Shaheer took on this project. He himself has said that this show is close to his heart and its going to be a milestone in his career path. It makes him happy when he goes to sleep. Rest assured he didnt come to India after two years from Indo to take such a role of a complex character , if he was not comfortable with it. He is an intelligent man! No need to tell him what to do.

I love Shaheer as Dev.. Only he can do justice to this role and bring out the various emotions so well, that one minute you are angry with him for being so cruel to Sona but then the next episode your heart goes oout crying for him when you see how he suffers in silence with so much pain and those dynamic expressions are die for.

And the producers are not trying elevate Sona and bring down Dev. These two people are going through tough time and they have to face the challenges, to come together. From the way I see it both their love for another is not strong enough yet but this separation track is going to change all that and make their love even more stronger to weather any storms ahead and togethe,r face the next challenges instore for them.

You should be proud that Shaheer is doing such a phenomenal role . Compliment him, not complain.!

Shaheer is an Actor. Real actor would love to do the roles that bring out all the layers and nuances in acting. I love Shaheer as Dev. We, i mean I , criticise Dev for the personality issues not Dev as the whole.

I want Devashi but with natural transformation.

last night episode Shaheer had killed in every expressions especially during the scene when Sona barged inside his room. how many expressions/emotions wow. Hats off to you man. I just loved him.

If some body criticise or even hate one character mean, the actor who do the character is doing justice to the role.This is what i feel.

I wonder , fans leave away the male actors who do roles that humiliate, manhandle,suspect the heroins, marry twice/thrice. They would be appreciated as hot, manly, heroic, alpha etc . But could not stand their hero who is made to act as indecisive or not better than the female character.

No offence just my POV.

You said it all i feel the same with character its a realistic one people do lot of good and bad no one is perfect he commits some mistake and then regret it later we all do this in real life.pls think iteli what you are saying he is not a perfect guy like other tv serial who are always 100% right in every decision and thats complete bs to show that no one can be perfect like that sorry cant agree to you iteli

I can understand your frustration and the reasons for feeling Dev's character has been neglected ...you might have felt that seeing the no of posts in the forum for past few days where every other post was against Dev but many were sympathizing with Sona's character...they are people who are being neutral and appreciating Dev ..I can't speak for others but for me Dev was and will be the favorite character in the show ...nothing can change that ...

Another reason why I feel people can relate to Sonakshi more is ..it's a simple character with a supporting family and her life is sorted whereas Dev is a very complex character born in a complicated family and not many people can relate to

Let me very honest here ..I did feel they butchered his character a little bit during the separation track by making him say hurtful words like kis haq se when this guy has always treated Sona with respect and has not even raised his voice during their courtship period ...I could relate to his impulsive decisions but certain dialogues could have been avoided ...I feel this was to justify the third angle entry and to justify his relationship with the female lead ...even I am not happy with Dev stalking people. ..I want a track where we see him concentrating on his career for a change and showing his journey as a successful businessman rather than stalking people ...but Cvs have their own plan

i totally disagree with the comments, Dev is imperfectly perfect, its a realistic drama, and this is how people in Dev's position will do and react too.
