Jealousy : A Necessary Color of Love ??

As much as I would love to see Dev suffer for whatever reason, and would love to see Sona moving on and being happy with someone else (contrary to the popular demand), but I am really confused here.. Confused because, does jealousy REALLY work in real world ?

I personally believe that love is an equation between 2 people, whatever they feel for each other should be equal, mutual and exclusive to each other.. The power to trigger all the emotions related to love should be triggered by each other and ONLY each other.. But I heard there is a hell lot of not-so-positive package which comes with this emotion - insecurity, jealousy, possessiveness - the darker side of emotions.. And all of these are triggered by involvement of at least 1 person outside the 2 people involved in love.. When any third party gets the authority to influence your love-life, or to make changes to your emotions, I really wonder if that's really love .. If we need 3rd party to open our eyes, to make us feel the worth of our partners, then what's the point ? Shouldn't 2 people in love introspect their own actions, understand each other's pov, and then provide a solution to their problem THEMSELVES.. ? Isn't it why marriage is considered to be the greatest bond of all, a bond which is not impacted by external force or factors, that behind the closed doors, lies a whole different world for a couple where no one else gets an entry, that when a relationship(marriage) is in trouble and seek for legal separation, they are advised to spend a significant time alone with each other where no one ELSE comes in between them !

Anyways, my point is, as much as happy I am from Sona's perspective, I can't help but feel disappointed with the third wheel approach the CV has taken here.. I would be so much happier if Dev had understood the importance of Sona without feeling jealous, insecure etc... Shouldn't the unbearable pain of separation be ENOUGH for a person to realize the worth of his partner ? Shouldn't just missing the lover/girlfriend/wife be enough for a person to realize someone's importance in life ? Is it always mandatory to make someone feel jealous to make them realize the worth of their partner ?

From a personal front, my husband and me are living in 2 different countries right now And I can talk from my experience that the pain which I feel at times for staying apart from him, has NOTHING to do with him hanging out with the people who might have a crush on him đŸ„± I don't care who he is with, the pain that I am NOT with him is overpowering all my emotions ALL the time 😕 Many many times a day I tend to rethink over my priorities and change my decisions just so that I can be with him.. So honestly I don't get this Jealousy track at all.. I thought it would be a bit more mature and show some emotions never seen in tv before.. But alas! Disappointed..

My 2 cents.. 😊

This is what I have been saying from a long time . Do we really need a third angle for Dev and Soma to realise the intensity of their love ? No many people agreed with me but slowly people have started to realise this jealousy track was not needed and I am sorry to say but I am disappointed with the makers ..they followed the usual route ...and I don't consider Devakshi as unique couple anymore ...it took less than a month for her to move on ...no words to describe how terrible I feel about this whole scenario

Jeolousy works when one person takes the other for granted inspite of loving very much... So love is not the problem here. The sense of losing someone you love for ever can be brought out only with the color of jealousy..

Dev was scared that he will lose his mom so he broke the relationship with out thinking too much.. So now it is necessary for him to understand that he can lose sona for ever to someone else... Only when he realizes this will he give importance to both women and learn to balance life

Great Post!. I am thinking the makers wanted to show reality hence the 3 promos which was very close to reality and which drew me to this show.
GKB doing those antics before still kept to the original premise of reality ( this is just my opinion) because people like her exist in real life BUT somewhere along the way they decided to include usual dramatic elements like Easwari Chulha Drama , and other OTT antics by her and severely butchered Dev's character in the break up scene , not to mention mamaji who was a sane character also fell wayward ..now the jealousy track fits into the current mold of Drama and more Drama maybe that is what sells!

Now I am watching this show for the acting of Erica and Shaheer, their awesome chemistry with no actual connection to the show

Jealousy does happen in the beginning stages of Love but once you are sure of each other than we may teasingly be jealous but it no longer is a negative emotion ..this is just my opinion

Jeolousy track is needed when love is not the problem... We know dev and sona both love each other .. But to understand that sona is equally important in his life ... He needs to go thru jeausly track to understand that he can lose sona for ever to someone elsee...

Dear I would just like to say that jealousy is a V real emotion and it does exist in real. Life . Dev Sona are not a married couple yet... the yearning you have for ur husband is a different thing all together coz u know he is urs. I face the same situation as u at times when my husband is away on some tour etc but yes when we were not married and he used to be on official trips in our courtship period, I used to get a bit jealous. Post our marriage I dont feel so anymore... Guess its about what phase in life u r in currently.
Dev Sona r currently over the beautiful phase were he shunned her out... Devs situation is so different from Sonakshi. Her side of parents would want their daughter to move on and I think she is just genuinely trying. If Dev can abide by what his mom's wish is.. . So can Sona. She should... Im not saying u need a man to replaced by another man to grow out of a break up but in all naturality, parents think of this as the most effective solution. Dont take it as a third angle in Devakshi love story... Take it as a stepping stone for Dev to realise what more could he feel... Yes he will ping for her.. . Long for her... she will too... But until when... It was but natural her parents Wil look for someone. .. If not today then Tomm.. Its really not a third angle... Its just a V natural next step of life. This however cannot exist singularly... It will co exist with other emotions.

So all in all .. I just want them to use this jealousy track to get dev back on track and i dont want cvs yo do this by making ritwich the bakara..
If I understand the segment correctly, ritwich know about sona and dev relationship and he said he wanted to be her friend and help her. I dont for a sec believe that sona has moved on or wanted to move on...

I also see that ritwich knows that dev is watching them in the rain seqence... So i am happy with the way cvs are taking this track...

Bang on! Bang on! Bang on! I agree with each and every word of yours. Love, for me, means ALL of this. Not getting impacted by a 3rd someone. Still, beacuse this is an opera, and because the CVs have the free card to show all of this and we, as viewers, would enjoy watching the possessive side come out of Dev, this jealousy track is introduced. True, it is very unrealistic, or rather weakens the strength of the two people's relationship, but ultimately, this is an opera. It should be slightly dramatic and unrealistic.

I agree for love... But here love is not the question. They both know love is not the problem for breakup.
Standing up for love/taking for granted is the problem.

One can fight for something only when one realizes that they cant live with out it and if they dont fight they can lose it for ever...

So to bring this out jealousy trqck is needed.

I would say it is not thst sona is making dev jealous so that he can love her .. She is doing to make sure he stands up for their love... Absolutely needed
