Honestly, I am tired of shaggy and all her whining saga which makes her change colors faster than we can blink but then again this is how this show works and there's nothing we can do about it except for discussing it in the vain hope that it would somehow reach the cvs if they happen to lurk on the forum
So that's what I am gonna do - discuss with a vain hope the Nth transformation of Shady Shaggy..
To me this woman is a perennial example of one thing and one thing alone - and that is being never satisfied with her lot in life and always wishing and seeking to be the center of attraction and attention from everybody.
To me her sudden love 🤢 that we herd about last night for Raman stems from one thing and one thing alone - the fact that she thinks she had the perfect life ... she wasn't loved by anyone except Pihu in these years but she was revered and respected - in his anger to simply lash out on Ishita, Raman had made her once again feel like the queen of the world when he had called her asli maa and the works...
What Ishita understood by Raman' those actions and words was he wants to hurt her, simple, loud and clear.
Raman in his intentions to lash out somehow ended up giving this woman what she strived to do for seven years post Ishita' disappearance and before her reappearance - she was noticed and appreciated by him...
Before Ishita' appearance, Raman hadn't so much as given a damn about shaggy though she had tried everything she could do to get his attention - not only did she take up the responsibilities that were Ishita' but she also aped her by mellowing her attire - by dressing as conservatively as Ishita did, the behenji she mocked and to show she can do nice by others joined a NGO...the families - I say families because even Amma before knowing Ishita is alive and Vandu after knowing about her sister pushed Shaggy to officiate things between Raman and her 🥱
Yet, none of it mattered to Raman because for him it all came down to one simple fact - he can never replace his Ishita with anyone not even Shagun, the woman who gave birth to all his children.
Yes, Raman adores his kids like crazy and Shagun has always thought of herself at an advantage because she has the most fertile womb in all lands and in her head that stands above all because what would Raman have if not for her - she ended up giving him the status of a father - his son and his daughters and that should be enough to make him worship her, let alone be loved by him...
But what this daft woman fails to understand even after all these years is that the Raman she left and the Raman Ishita found are two completely different persons albeit the same man.
The man Shagun cheated on and abandoned was her husband whose love she never understood, let alone cherish or admire.
The man Shagun left was a father of two who had his son taken away from him and a daughter who reminded him of his bitter past so much that he could never bear to open his heart to his own child, afraid of being jilted by his own flesh and blood too, the innocent who suffered for merely being a reminder...
The man Shagun abandoned in aftermath wasn't just a deceived, cuckolded husband but he was a father without a child.
The Raman Ishita found was as childless as her when they first met.
I say this because, it is after he meets Ishita he realizes how he has closed off his heart to everyone he loves, just because of one person, how he has made his blameless child bear the burden of his past, for which she wasn't responsible.
The man Ishita found in Raman realized how in pining for his son he had been sorely negligent towards the daughter he always had by him
And in understanding that the man that Raman became, the man who once again opened up his heart to love had all but molded himself into the person whom Ishita needed to feel complete and who needed Ishita just as much to be himself, this version of the man that he chose to be, wanted to be, the best that he could be and he couldn't be that without her, without his Ishita - to smile and laugh at him, whenever he was being an adorable goof or to cry and hug him whenever he was lost and heartbroken...
He needed her so that he could be what he always strived to be, what he knew in his heart he was meant to be - a happy man with his little family, a man who has someone to come home to, a home he loves to come back to at the end of the day...
What Shagun never understood or doesnt want to accept is - that she might have spend the last 7 years of her life in the same house as him, but not for 7 days did she give Raman a home...
What this daft woman knows in her heart but wont admit because woe is me is that while she may have had her perfect little dream in these past 7 years for Raman they were day in and out nothing less than his worst nightmare.
In her monologue she says she had everything Raman, family, home, kids ...he would have married her too and fallen in love with her again, because once upon a time she was the woman he loved -_-
But for Raman there was nothing...
He came back to love, to live when he first opened his heart to his child, his little Ruhi, who he had run to embrace on a day when all his doubts had shattered and his prejudices and fears blown to smithereens - as he had for the first time wholeheartedly embraced his child who had wanted nothing more of him and in doing so, in allowing himself to love, to live again for his daughter, he had come to care and eventually love the woman who had made it possible for him to be close to Ruhi and without the two of them - there could be nothing, absolutely nothing worth living for him
