Hey, you know I have finished whole of your index in just two days, whether it was os, ts or this story. I even read some of them twice. I didn't comment on them(being the lazy I am) but I could not stop myself from commenting here. I fell in love with this story. It is something which makes your heart ache and you can feel the pain of the character and even sometime can make you cry but there is still that intriguing feature in the story which make you follow it till end.
Update soon, waiting for it eagerly and for your os also ( how can I forget them).
Bye.
Take care.

I know I have taken too long to update this but now I am finally back to this. this chapter explains the relation between Ishana and Omkara. this chapter explains a lot of stuff in the story. And from here on all the mysteries shall be explained one by one. This chapter will clear a lot of things in this story and explain the perspective of Omkara and Ishana. I want to finish this fast so that I can finally explain what happened to Anika. So I'll try to update soon the next chapter. So for now get ready to learn some truths.

Also this chapter keeps alternating between Omkara and Ishana's POV. I made it so because I wanted the flow to be continuous. I hope it's not too jarring. Ishana's story goes backwards as in she is remembering the recent past and then backwards from there whereas omkara is narrating the story from the time he met Ishana.

Chapter 6: https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/post/135796416

Chapter 7.

"I love you Ishana."

"we can always be together."

"we are getting married aren't we?"

"I hate you."

Ishana was panting hard trying to get hold of her incoherent thoughts. She had no idea what that woman had injected In her but the dull ache of the wound where the syringe had pierced her skin made her aware of the fact that it had not been a dream. Because right now she was slowly losing grasp of reality. There were images flashing through her mind giving her a headache. It was like whenever she almost caught hold of it to determine if it was a memory or a figment of her imagination it would be replaced by another image.

"if you hurt me, your son will feel the pain. If I bleed so will he. So go ahead and hurt me as much as you can."

That jolted her out of her confused state. She narrowed her eyes trying to focus on that one line which had crossed her mind. It was a memory, she was sure of it. But what was it?

Ishana was sitting inside the private room attached to Tej Singh Oberoi's cabin. She looked around the room. She hated this place. It reeked of money and power. She hated the man to whom this place belonged to.

She heard the door open and her head snapped to the side just as he entered. He took a seat across her behind the table.

"so we finally meet." He said, his voice mocking.

Her eyes narrowed.

"yes we do." She said,

Relaxing his pose he said, "I don't like to beat around the bush. What will you take to stay away from my son."

Ishana clenched her teeth.

"don't be shy." He said still mocking her, "you don't have to keep on the act. I am not my son to be fooled by you. just tell your price."

Ishana looked away disgusted. Tej looked at her surprised, "don't tell me you believe that you will be the daughter in law of the Oberoi family. even you can't be that foolish?"

Ishana kept staring at him with cold eyes.

Tej leaned forward a bit and said, "look, if I want I can destroy you and my son wouldn't even know what happened to you. but I am not that heartless you see.."

He was surprised when Ishana fiercely slamed her hands on the table and got up. She leaned forward till she was at his eye level.

"have you not destroyed me already?" she asked with venom.

Tej's eyes narrowed. "stay away from my son or else..."

"or else what?" She straightening up and folding her hands at her chest, looking down at him with her cold eyes, "you'll hurt me? make me bleed?"

She bent forward again placing her hands on the table.

"go ahead. Hurt me. make me bleed."

Tej's eyes widened at her defiance to bend. And his eyes narrowed at what she said next.

"have you not noticed yet."

Tears of anger filled her eyes as she continued.

"if you hurt me, your son will feel the pain. If I bleed so will he. So go ahead and hurt me as much as you can."

With that she straightened and left the room only to stop outside and let the tears fall freely. She was finding it hard to breath. She felt like her lungs were being squeezed. She turned her head sideways only to be met by her own reflection. She turned to face the mirror.

It disgusted her. it showed her what she had become. A savage animal thirsty for blood. And in all of this she was hurting the one man who loved her, stood by her through her darkest and forgave her when she was wrong. what had she become?

The image of her Ammi's body lying in her arms flashed in her mind and her eyes turned cold again. the tears stopped and the trails left by them, she wiped them off still looking at the fire burning in her eyes. she hated that man. He had to pay for what he had done. And so she had to hurt him where it hurt the most. She had to hurt his son.

"Om."

Omkara looked up from his book to see Shivay enter his room. He smiled. He was bored of being on the bed the whole time. plus Shivay's room was very boring to begin with. But Shivay had insisted for omkara to stay in his room. He was not sure but the way Shivay kept insisting on keeping a watch on him almost felt like Shivay was worried that he might do something to himself.

As Shivay came and sat on the bed near his leg Omkara noticed how exhausted he looked.

"it's unusal for you to be here in the afternoon." He said trying to lift up his mood but Shivay just looked at him warily. Concerned Omkara asked him, "is something wrong?"

"who is Ishana Omkara?"

That question caught him totally off guard.

"how do you know about her?" he asked panicking slightly.

When Shivay just kept quite he realised that Shivay had been investigating his recent activities. May be to find out what caused his accident since he could not remember that day at all.

He sighed and said, "she is someone I got to know recently. I'll tell you everything but promie me you won't react till the end.. okay?"

When Shivay nodded Omkara continued.

"I met her by chance when she was practicing for an event. Later I met her again and thought she was committing suicide." He chuckled at that and the brought a small tired smile to Shivay's lips.

"then I met her again many times and soon we became friends." And then...

Omkara stepped on the grass in the lawn of the Kapoor's mansion. He really didn't like to attend these parties but he was here for the girl who had come to think of as his friend. Ahana. He smiled at the thought and looked around, his eyes searching for her. after all this was her party right?

He saw Mr. kapoor walk towards him and put up a smile.

"hello young man. It must be a miracle that you decided to show your face at my party of all places." Mr kapoor chided him with good humour.

Omkara just smiled and looked at the girl standing next to the man, who was giving him inviting looks. Mr Kapoor followed his gaze and smiled.

"this is my daughter, Ahana, Ahana Kapoor."

Omkara's smile died and his head snapped back to look at the man. There must be some mistake. That's when he saw her walk on to the podium. She took her place behind the mike and looked towards the keyboard player and gave a nod.

Omkara turned to Mr. Kapoor and asked him "isn't that girl over there Ahana?"

Mr Kapoor and his daughter turned around and the girl burst out laughing.

"no way. That's Ishana. She sings in our hotel so I called her here to entertain us this evening."

Omkara stood there speechless. He couldn't believe this. The girl ha had come to admire, the girl he was used to confide in was not who he thought she was. Her name was not Ahana. It was Ishana.

He really regretted coming here today. If only he had not come to this party. he had actually believed her and believed that this was her party. he stood there as she sang the song "kuch khas hai" in that melodious voice of hers. the voice that made him believe her. but all he got was deceit.

His eyes narrowed and her walked through the crowd to come and stand in front of the podium. Ishana was about to finish her song when she saw him and abruptly stopped. She saw Ahana standing next to him and immediately understood the look of betrayal he was giving her.

Without realising she stepped down. "Om.."

"you lied." Omkara said coldly.

"please listen..."

"Ahana Kapoor...that is what you told me your name was."

She saw Ahana's eyes widened and cursed herself mentally. This was not how she wanted for him to find out the truth. She wanted to tell him slowly, not like this.

And then all hell broke loose. Ahana was insulting her left right and centre and she didn't even care. all she cared about was that Omkara, who she had come to respect and care for was looking away from her, hurt, his face contorted in pain. Had she hurt him so much. Tears sprang to her eyes.

"what did you think?" she heard Ahana say, "did you really believe that you could have my name and be like me? you are nothing but worthless piece of trash Ishana. Have you forgotten from where you come? That you belong to the red light district. Disgusting!"

Her head snapped back to Ahana, her eyes wide. That really hurt. She felt the pain squeeze her heart.

Omkara's eyes widened at what that girl had said. He looked at Ishana, baffled. How much more had she hidden from him. he heard whispers around. He looked around distracted by their muffled words. But he recognised those stares. The lecherous stares that people were giving her on knowing from where she belonged.

He felt his blood boil.

"enough!" he said loudly to shut up Ahana. She looked at him stunned.

"but Omkara...this girl..."

"that's between us" he said sternly. "I'll deal with it myself."

Saying that he caught hold of Ishana's hand and pulled her along with him towards his car. She didn't resist nor did she make a sound.

When they reached his car, he opened the passenger door and waited. She took a deep breath and entered the car. He slammed the door shut startling her. she saw him walk angrily to the otherside and take his seat behind the wheel.

"the belt." He said, his tone monotonous

She looked at him confused at first and then realising what he meant she fastened her belt. She looked back at him again and he seemed so guarded right now. like there was a huge wall between them and she couldn't reach over to him. she wanted him to scream at her, hurt her but his silence was killing her like this. She didn't want this.

"Omkara...please say something..."

Instead he just started the car, without acknowledging her at all.

"come out." He said after opening the door of the car for her. Ishana looked at him, her eyes pleading but he didn't meet her eyes. disappointed she got out and stopped at the site of the the grand mansion in front of her. she turned to look at him but he just walked past her so she followed him.

Once inside everyone was sleeping. It was dark inside save for some night lamps that were kept on. But even in the darkness the mansion seemed like a giant, cold and idle.

She kept following him till he entered a room. The room was dark too except for the moonlight entering through the open window. She realised that it was Omkara's room that they were standing in.

"why are we here?" she asked him softly.

He kept quiet. Even he had no idea why he had brought her. he had done it out of instinct.

She took his silence for his anger and said, "Om...I can explain."

The words made him so angry that he couldn't control himself. He turned around and shouted, "then explain!"

"explain why you never told me the truth. Was it the money you were after? Is that why you lied? You never did care for me did you?"

Ishana closed her mouth. And then realising this was going nowhere she said calmly, "it's no point talking now. even if I explain everything to you, you won't understand."

"understand?" Omkara asked her incredulous. "you want me to understand? You lied to me Ishana. Is that your real name? or have you lied about that too?"

Ishana felt a sting at that. "I didn't ever tell you that my name was Ahana."

"but you hid the fact that it was not. You kept meeting me as Ahana."

"so what was I supposed to do?" she screamed in frustration. "was I supposed to tell you that I am Ishana? That I was brought up in the red light district? If I had told you that would you have not felt disgusted to even talk to me?"

"I am disgusted to talk to you." he said, still reeling from his anger. "you are what I hate the most. You are a woman who wrecks peoples house for money"

The image of his father and his mistress flashed in front of his eyes.

"you are a bloody home wrecker. A pr..."

But he stopped. A violent thunder exploded in the sky. He immediately regretted his words when he saw pain flash through her yes. but in a moment it was gone, replaced by a violent rage.

"go ahead. Say it. A what Omkara?" she persisted angrily.

When he looked away she said, "I'll say it for you. a prostitute." She saw him close his eyes in pain but right now she didn't care. he had judged her without knowing about her. if he felt pain she wanted him to feel it more.

"I may not sell my body Omkara but the woman who brought me up, who has been my mother, she does. And so what? That woman sold her body to feed me, to educate me. and I am not even her daughter. so what?"

Omkara looked at her baffled. How could she justify this.

Ishana gave out a frustrated laugh, "it's useless talking to you. because how can you understand my pain when you have felt none."

Omkara's eyes widened at that and he took angry steps towards her. "I haven't felt pain? I haven't? do you know what I have gone through? My father has a mistress. My mother is drowning herself in alcohol and I had been doing drugs. And you say I don't know pain?"

Ishana snorted at that and said, "and what am I supposed to do? Feel sad for you? why should i? you were a drug addict and I agree it must have been painful for you to have chosen that escape but the fact remains that you could afford it. Do you know the pain of not having anything to eat for weeks? Do you know the fear that you have to sleeping every night with a knife under your pillow? Do you know the pain of seeing your mother struggling with her health yet not be able to pay for her medicines? No Omkara Singh Oberoi. No you don't"

Omkara took a step back stunned by her words. "I have seen pain Ishana. But pain is no excuse for lying."

"i agree that I shouldn't have lied. And I am sorry for that. but I have to always lie about my origin because otherwise I won't even get a job. And I need money. So I lie for it. I took Ahana's place in that festival. But I did it for money. I am not proud of it but neither am I ashamed of it. I do what I do to survive. It was either selling my body or selling my values. I chose to sell the latter. So what is so wrong in that?"

Omkara looked at her unable to retort. She gave a sad smile, "it is so easy to stand inside the house and judge the people who are getting wet in the rain. I don't say you have had an easy life but you still have a family and the money. You chose to plunge yourself in darkness but there were people who were willing and caring enough to pull you out. You chose to run away and yet no one blamed you for abandoning your responsibilities. Some people don't have that much luck. You have a surname. You are a self-made man but you never had to fight with the discrimination against your gender or the place you were raised in."

Omkara looked at her in pain as she wiped her tears. "lying is lying." He said adamantly, "nothing justifies a lie. How can anything that hurts other ever be justified."

"and what if this is a lie too?" he asked not looking at her."the thing I lost in you today was trust Ishana."

Her eyes widened at that. she had beared her soul to him and he had just like that kicked it. Feeling her anger bubble again Ishana screamed in frustration, "god damn you! has anything I told you even made the slightest sense to you. your pain is real and mine is not? The fact is Omkara Singh Oberoi that you are a freaking coward. Yes that is what you are."

Omkara looked at her angry at her accusation. "coward?"

"yes a coward. You see the pain of the people you care about but instead pf helping them you choose to run away. You have seen your mother suffer but have you ever even bothered to ask her what it is that is hurting her? no. because you don't have the guts to stand your ground and fight your problems head on."

"you know what. You are right." Ishana said, tired of this argument. "I lied to you. and I never cared about you. the only reason I attached to you was your money. So I will leave now and I hope you never have to see my disgusting face again. good bye."

Omkara turned around and walked to the window unable to see her walk away. his anger was still seething with the fact that she had lied. Everything they had shared till now was all a lie.

He looked out from his window and saw her walk out in the pouring rain. He felt the urge to go and call her back in for she was getting drenched but he stamped it down.

He saw her stop and look upjust as he closed his window glass.

Ishana stood there silently crying. Now did she realise what he meant to her, now when she had lost him. he was not only her friend but she had come to love him and her heart ached at the thought of never seeing him again.

"I really do love you Om" Ishana said softly, looking up towards his window, drenched in rain.

'lies' Omkara thought quietly as he looked down at her from behind the glass.

"but you won't believe me." and a tear escaped her eye only to be mixed with the rain.

"and so I leave you with a final goodbye."

Omkara was restlessly pacing in his room. The whole night he hadn't slept. The whole night her words kept ringing in his ears. Only one question eating at him. was she saying the truth? Had he done a mistake by not believing her. he heard the sound of something breaking from his mother's room and he ran to it only to find his mother sitting on the bed, a broken vase by her leg.

"mom." he said as he walked to her and knelt infront of her besides the pieces of the broken vase.

"Omkara" she said smiling. He could smell he alcohol. She was drunk.

Remembering Ishana's words he looked at is mother in a whole different light now.

"why?" he said.

Jhanvi looked at him confused.

"why do you put up with this?"

Jhanvi sighed, "it's become a habit now. the pain feels like it is part of my life."

"then why didn't you leave him the first time you felt the pain?" he asked genuinely hurt.

"because that time I had my priorities. I had you and Rudra. I wanted you'll to have everything. Not a broken family."

"but our family is broken."

"yes, I realised that late. That in trying to give you everything I had taken away a lot from you both."

Omkara put his head on her lap. "why do you even care enough to feel the pain?"

"I tried not to be bothered. But love is very weird. To some it is their strength and to some their weakness. My love for your father..."

She felt him jerk his head up in anger. he looked away disgusted but she continued, "my love for that man is my weakness. And I pray to god every day that all four of my children never have to go through what I am going in love."

"how can you love him still?" he asked her, looking at her sadly.

"love is like that" she said with a sad smile, "it doesn't see flaws or perfection. It just happens and you can never undo it."

Omkara looked at her, amazed at how incredible her words sounded. Loving someone with all their flaws. Was he capable of that? the image of Ishana dancing in that auditorium basked in the sunlight filled his mind.

He got up caressing his mother's hand and walked out of the room wondering about it.he had to talk to her again. he had heard her story, her pain. She was right. without knowing her pain how could he have judged her.

"then what happened?"

Shivay's words brought Omkara out of his memories and he looked at him, a little dazed.

He tried to read Shivay's expression but could find nothing. Shivay hadn't formed a judgement on Ishana yet.

"Omkara..." Shivay called out.

"then as I was going to my room I got a call."

The pain that flashed on his brother's face made Shivay put his hand on his.

"it was from her phone. There was a man on the other end. He had called from the hospital."

Shivay looked at Omkara as he was staring out, tears at the brim of his eyes.

Phew! Finally done...seriously, I don't know how all of you are going to react to this. I am hoping I'll get positive reactions. I know this felt like I skipped a lot in Ishkara story but I really want to finish this FF before I forget how to end it. so please do tell me how it was.
