From 14th August, 1947...to 14th August 2016, we have come a long way. Today we stand on the horizon of the 70th year of independence, looking back at the 69 years that went by. We began from scratch in 1947 and wouldn't have reached thus far without the efforts of the people who valiantly sacrificed and devoted their lives for the betterment of Pakistan and every Pakistani.

Celebrating the completion of 69 years of independence, the Crazy Creatives bring to you an enumeration of the achievements of the country so that the citizens can sit back and be proud of their heritage. Every achievement was accompanied by hours and days of hard work and struggle and they should be remembered with reverence.

Another year has passed marking 69 years since Pakistan came into being as an independent state. The years have not been easy for any Pakistani as they faced many problems because they were a new nation; suffering hindrance due to faulty acts of the government and natural disasters but despite all that, it has managed to have some achievement of its own. Be a proud Pakistani as we take you down the memory lane.

Education

Education is one of the most important aspects of any country's development and it hasn't been any different for Pakistan. It has managed to increase its literacy rate from 10% at time of independence to 58% although they still have a long way to go.

The constitution of Pakistan obligates the state to provide free and quality education to children between age 3-16. The country also had some brilliant students such as Haroon Tariq who managed to get 46 A's in his O and A level exams and Sitaara Brooj Akbar and Rai Haris Manzoor who passed their O level exam at the age of 11 and 9 respectively, setting a world record.

Transport

Pakistan has seen significant development in its transport system with construction of new airports, railway lines and roads leading to a boast in employment opportunities. In addition, new national highways and motorways were built which have accelerated trade and logistics within the country.

Metro bus services are also being launched in all major cities by the current Government. Gwadar Port, the world's largest deep sea port, is poised to give China, Afghanistan and other landlocked countries cheap and easy access to Arabian Sea.

Entertainment

Pakistani entertainment industry is rapidly growing every passing year. Pakistani dramas produce the best content highlighting issues of the society, and are being appreciated internationally for their non-dragged stories with powerful protagonists.

Pakistan cinema, after facing decline for years, had its revival with Bol in 2013. Ever since, the number of films produced is increasing each year. Pakistan harbours many talented filmmakers such as Sharmeen Obaid, Academy Award winner for her documentaries 'Saving Face' and 'A Girl in the River: The Price of Forgiveness'.

Nuclear Power

Only seven countries in world today have nuclear power owing to a complex procedure to design a nuclear bomb. On May 28, 1998, Pakistan became the first and the only Islamic country to possess this power by successfully exploding six nuclear devices.

Sports

Ever since independence, Pakistan has done reasonably well in the area of sports. It has a record of winning world cup four times in Hockey with no other nation being as successful as Pakistan. Pakistani Cricket Team has also won two international cricket events, the World Cup of 1992 and 2009 ICC World Twenty20 with notable players like Imran Khan, Waseem Akram, Shoaib Akhtar and Shahid Afridi. Pakistan is also the official manufacturer of FIFA World Cup Ball.

Angel of Mercy

Abdul Sattar Edhi, the founder of Edhi foundation was said to be world greatest living humanitarian. He created a charitable empire out of nothing. He rescued tens of thousands abandoned children and orphans.

His foundation also runs world largest ambulance service and relief operations in Africa, Middle East etc. He won many awards and accolades for his work and passed away on July 8, 2016 at the age of 88.

Pakistan may have been struggling due to its internal issues but its has managed to survive and make a place for itself in the world front. On the occasion of its 69th birthday, we hope for a better future for Pakistan and its citizens.

Pakistan Zindabad!!
