This show has been growing on me offlate and a major shout out to the crackling chemistry between Eisha and Sartaj. They are simply outstanding whenever they come together for any scene. :)
I totally agree with u on the crackling chemistry between between Eisha N Sartaj..they definately set the screen on fire as RajNi.Okay, so as the title suggests, I would like to say a few words in defense of the character that Sartaj is playing..and honestly he is doing a great job at it.From the looks of it ,Raja may seem to be an easy character portrayal but in reality it isn't. He has a myriad shades to his character , so much so that there's quite a lot of ambiguity when it comes to his behaviour in every scene. On one hand he makes you feel that he is avenging his torture that he had to go through as a child, while simultaneously on the other side he reveals this extremely soft side of his which is so vulnerable that he fears to open up to even himself.Behind the facade of a strong and stone-hearted creep, there's this extremely intricately woven self of Raja that yearns for love.He has been denied his share of love always.. and that what has made him so cynical about love, and probably makes him jealous whenever he sees Rani with Jeevan. More than his lovefor Rani it is the fear of losing her that makes him go ballistic even at the mere sight of jeevan and rani together. Ever since childhood jeevan has always been the favoured child and somehow and somewhere he fears Jeevan of getting Rani 's favours as well.Raja in reality is nothing but still that 10year old extremely gullible Raja Baja which is hidden under the facade of fake pretense of flamboyance. The fact that he respects his mother inspite of being brought up in a surrounding where he had always witnessed his father being the real 'janwar' reaffirms the faith in me that he indeed is a human being with extremely delicate emotions and not what he makes himself look like. His only intention was probably making Rani aware of his pain, because honestly over the last 12 years he had no one to share it with. The reason why he is what today is what transpired 12 years back..and in order to accept him, Rani needs to accept his past that has driven his present.Raja needs unconditional love and support and most importantly the feeling of being wanted.. and I guess Rani with her love will definitely be able to do that.A very well justified analysis on raja's character..all this while I just put myself in rani's shoe..but failed to see things from raja's shoe..just like coins has two sides..v human also has 2 sides..u have explain it in very well manner on his bad n good side..bravo..👏P.s: I know Raja has been extremely harsh on rani over the past few episodes and it has been made to look that he is this one psycho creep, but in life there are situations which probably nurture your mental state and actions and raja is nothing but a manifestation of that turbulent childhood that he had spent in the hostel. Not trying to defend any of the violence he engaged in but just trying to analyse things from his view point.Nobody will agree with any violance against any individual in real..but for reel it is accepted just to add in more drama..it will be nice if the maker could show some hope or give some way for those who really facing the prob in life to find solution..as of raja his childhood nightmare, has made him who he is today..very well said dear..P.p.s: this is the first time I'm posting here in this forum..and I hope u guys do not mind my ramblings here..have a great day and keep watching ETR2. <3

Welcome to the forum @SuHo.
I loved reading your post ..I too want to understand Raja's personality. I knew there is kindness under his bad behaviour. there is a wounded lion..and I am sure Rani's love will earase all the pain he went through in childhood.
