So this is where it stems from.
Ishita 's innate feeling of responsibility to leave those she loves, because of that very love. And now she's back, because the ones she loves, need and love her the most.
And now she knows, that Raman was alone without her. Shagun in these seven years didn't even exist in Raman's eyes. Without Ishita there was no one. With Ishita, his family is his again.
Her children are hers because she loves them, unconditionally, not because she gave birth to them.
Today, it was gratifying to watch Ishita say to Shagun that despite masquerading as a married couple for pihu, Raman never became her husband.
It felt awesome to hear her say Raman was hers.
And she did with grace, and poise, and dignity.
She wasn't a martyr today, because today, she felt like she deserved all she had, because she didn't snatch anyone away, they came to her.
Shagun could never be what Ishita is. Raman's life, the children's soul, the family's heart. Shagun tried. She failed.
Ishita has this magnetic force that only she can, and Shagun fails to understand still it isn't Ishita purposely doing it, this magnetism for Raman is because she is the love of his life. For the children, it's the mother their hearts are bound to. To the family as a whole, she's woman who breathes life into them.
It's her innate goodness, and a woman like Shagun can only masquerade, attempt to be Ishita. But she fundamentally misunderstands why they all go to her, gravitate to her. They were never hers, and to hear this from Ishita herself, was so gratifying because Ishita's heart had been wounded by the very idea she doesn't deserve all this.
And now she knows she earned it.
And Shagun, she still can't see why Raman goes mental at the idea Ishita has disappeared.
I mean, narcissism ki bhi koi hadh hoti hai.
She doesn't think, why hasn't Raman come close to me in these seven years? He fell desperately in love with Ishita she thinks, why not me in her absence? The truth, the brutal truth that Shagun doesn't understand is that it's because she isn't ishita, the only woman who has ever truly consumed him.
So rather than her admitting that she doesn't compare to Ishita, she makes Ishita the culprit of her fate. And the result is that she looks like a woman child who stomps her feet and throws a tantrum. She throws a fit about the fact her children don't love her the way they love Ishita
I said it before, Shagun is delusional. Her self importance is too much to admit that she can't compare with Ishita. She knows deep down what Ishita is for the family, the kids. It's because she knows that she's dong all this. She can't tolerate this truth.
