5 reasons why Ajay Devgn's Shivaay should NOT be worried of clashing with Ae Dil Hai Mushkil!
While Shivaay stars Ajay Devgn. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is a Karan Johar directorial which boasts an ensemble cast to the likes of Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Fawad Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan...

Both the films are releasing on October 28th (Diwali) this year...
Now usually when two big films release on the same day, there is always this worry of what if one of the film flops? What if the other film steals the entire share of audience? In fact, Shah Rukh Khan too shifted his release date of Raees due this very same reason of not wanting to clash with Salman Khan's Sultan and we really think he made a wise move by doing that. But now, in case of Ajay Devgn's Shivaay clashing with Karan Johar's multi-starrer Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, we really don't feel the same for we believe Shivaay has an upper hand on ADHM. Here we give you 5 reasons why Shivaay is going to be more than just an Ajay Devgn film and has everything to beat Ae Dil Hai Mushkil at the box office...
#The unusual' genre
Shivaay narrates a really gripping tale - that of a creator-destroyer. Which explains why the trailer literally gave us goosebumps with not just its beautiful picturisation but equally hard-hitting sequences. There's so much passion, intensity and an energy to keep you hooked until the last minute. However, if we talk about Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, it has an all new different take for it not only stars an ensemble cast to the likes of Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Fawad Khan but in contrast to Shivaay, it further deals with unrequited love and heartbreaks, though we are yet to watch its trailer. But now if you compare both, we don't see any reason why Shivaay should be worried of losing its audience to ADHM? Don't you think both the films deal with drastically different subjects?
#Ajay returns
One cannot underestimate the star power of Ajay Devgn. Even if ADHM boasts an ensemble of the gen next stars but one look at AJ's fandom and you will realise how he is an one man army. Plus, Shivaay comes as an added treat with Ajay not only stepping up as an actor but even the director who has invested two years in making this masterpiece. Is he a winner already? You decide!
#Trailer first
Shivaay's got a really big advantage of being the first one to release the trailer ahead of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. The trailer has managed to create an insane buzz across the internet. And add to that, AJ has already revealed he'll be coming up with 2 more trailers in the next few weeks. So if this is how AJ has planned to build the buzz around his ambitious directorial, do you think he will lose the battle? We doubt! Watch out team ADHM...
A Films with child artistes always work wonders at the box office with Harshaali Malhotra aka Munni from Bajrangi Bhaijaan being the best example. So we wouldn't be surprised if Shivaay's share of cuteness Abigail too manages to strike a chord with the audience. In fact, the plus point here being - unlike Shivaay, ADHM backs a lot of steamy sequences between Ranbir-Anushka and even Ranbir and Aishwarya. So you see how the audience of both the films stands so different?
#Diwali bonanza
Diwali has turned out to be very lucky for Ajay. Both his Golmaal series hit jackpot at the box office and even All The Best which despite releasing opposite Salman Khan's Main Aur Mrs Khanna and Akshay Kumar's Blue, managed to become the only highest grosser among all the three. Add to that, Ajay's successful venture Son Of Sardaar which again turned out to become a blockbuster. With Shivaay locking horns with Ae Dil Hai Mushkil this Diwali, we really don't see why the film will not make it big. Diwali bonanza for the fourth time for Ajay? We really hope it works!
Stay tuned to BollywoodLife as we'll be back with more updates on Shivaay right here!
