Kuch nahin, bahut sare rang bedsheet ke apparently...
Itne rang ki Friday to Tuesday is needed to decide on this maha serious issue...

I am trying to understand the pace of the show, but am afraid am not tracking...

Revealing of the relationship to the family is expected to be a very very big plot point. However, it has been dealt with in fast forward mode...apparently there is no time to focus on the logical expected shocked and happy reactions of the sisters. Dev Dixit falling in love and that too with Sona under their own nose is apparently not a big deal in this joyless Dixit house...nothing can come in the way of the gloomy mood they are determined to embrace..not even their much loved brother finding love...

Riya in fact wasted no time and jumped straight to Ish's reactions. The less said about Bose family reactions the better (since none were shown). Dev and Sona are very keen to focus on bedsheets but not on trivial issues like how to handle her parents...

However a huge magnifying glass has been placed on one event - choosing a bedsheet. Yes, yes we get that it is a way for the creatives to showcase their favourite main plotline of the story (to the exclusion of every other logical human emotion)...

And what has happened to Dev suddenly? Please display your passion in other ways, not in getting Sona to bond with mom from just the very next day! He was shown as a mature sorted guy who could handle family well..Sona even complimented him for it..

Thankfully Sona was being sensible and dignified...

As ARCH said in her post (and said it very well), in order to make Ish look good i.e salvage her character they are sabotaging Dev...Earlier it was Ish's turn to be butchered(character wise)...

P.S 1 - It was nice to see Dev/Sona laughing and enjoying each other's company..Would love for others to similarly see their joy and feel happy for them..Mainly his sisters, mamaji and mother

PS 2: Of late I feel Shaheer is channeling Shaheer and not Dev in the romantic scenes..boyish and cutesy..While it is adorable, is is not Dev. There is a friendly and not a romantic vibe about their scenes

PS 3: It was nice to see Ish try to apologize to Sona and bond with her. This is what everyone always wanted ..Ish/Sona bonding. Howvever, dil mange more. Sorry to crib but as a woman I cannot help but think..if this were Ranveer he would be welcomed with a red carpet. Just because Sona is a woman, we have to feel happy with the morsels we are thrown. These days in cosmopolitan middle class families, even the girls are shown similar courtesies. I know there are many many houses in our country in which they are not but we have plenty of shows training their lens on those. I tuned in to this show for different reasons...

I was not expecting Riya and nikki to react this way! Infact, I thought nikki will jump in joy that her favorite Sona di was gonna be her bhabhi soon.. the Devakshi scene was super cute today.. I loved it.
Sonakshi is behaving sensibly and like her normal sane self, which was good to watch. It's Dev who has been acting weird.. from very tensed he has shifted to ecstatic.. he should've atleast asked Ishwari that Sonakshi is accompanying them, was it ok with her? Oh God Dev babu.. stop saying mein apni maa ko jaanta hun, nai jaante aap! Going by this logic, when he feels that Ishwari doesn't approve of his relationship, maybe that would also be incorrectly construed by him and the real matter would be something else only😕
True, the CVs have noticed the audience's negative reaction towards Ishwari's attitude and have tried to mellow down her insecurities and weird expressions. But when she starts getting ready and al, I really don't understand whether she is Dev's mother or girlfriend?
But still, she was much better today as compared to the recent episodes.. atleast she made an honest effort.
The Bose family was surprisingly absent today. The entire eoisode was bedsheet bedsheet bedsheet.. ab khareed hi lo yaar koi bhi😲

Yes! I was so so waiting for their reactions. Everyone has witnessed them squabbling..in fact they do not even know that they are friends. They really should have devoted an episode to the family's reactions.. I hope they come back to their reactions in the coming episodes and include Tina as well. Sona's dada and cousin Elena are so interested and have always asked her for details.

. the Devakshi scene was super cute today.. I loved it.

That was a breath of fresh air because we were all tired of their tensed faces...hopefully the creatives have not decided that they have fulfilled their quota of Dev/Sona solo romance scenes w/o ma issue/backdrop..I hope they don't jump right to the stage of "now comfortable with each other with 0 awareness"

Yes. :) so right. Even if we disregard the bed sheet thing, the photo precap coming so soon after this just makes him look overly enthusiastic...Like ARCH said they are determined to give Ish a reason to feel pained...even mamaji had an awkward expression when Dev tried to drag Sona into the photo..at this rate even Nikki will be alientated!

Yes, even I hope they show some more reactions of the Dixit sisters.. they always end up concentrating on the wrong thing! Bedsheets bedsheets khelne se achha, they could've spent a little more time on the sisters!
Today's Devakshi scene was great, but I want more passsioonnn!! Ok that spelling is wrong but I'm getting tired of the cutesy mush!! Plss CVs if you're listening, give us this! Pretty pls?
Let's give this a little time, maybe Dev will also mellow down in a day or two! At least, I hope he does. If he keeps going at this rate, he is gonna land himself in another mess🥱

Glad someone has the same POV. I sat down to see today's episode, but could not survive for ten minutes and came back to my room and reading the updates, I dont want to see it.
As per the track so far, the story was supposed to be of a son who loves his mother and knows her inside out, him and his lady love and how the insecurities of the mother sabotage the relationship.

But from what is evident, the track is about a son who thinks he knows his mother, but actually knows nothing, acting in a way which will clear annoy or at least hurt any mother a (here specially a very possessive mother). Dev does know that his mother is very possessive of him, he has seen the comparisons and favors even when it comes to his sisters. Sonakshi is a complete outsider to the family... I dont think Ishwari is wrong. She was until Dev hadn't confessed., But now, she is doing what she can and Dev is making ALL the wrong moves.

I think you are right. CVs are butchering the characters one by one and I am not liking it.

Their romance was more romantic when they were friends or in the initial 10 episodes after main confession episode. After that, its redundant, kiddish and lacks the warmth any two adults would have, even without being intimate.

I also agree with your comment about Shaheer being Shaheer not Dev. Shaheer has an impish charm, Dev does not, or is not portrayed to be. He is the kind, matured and bold guy.

All in all, I am losing track of the story and if bedsheets, photos, halwa and all this becomes higher priority and goes on for days, I dont know if I'll be watching anymore.

Dont get me wrong. I love Sharica and Devakshi, but I did not start watching this serial for the story they have going on.

Hope CVs are listening.

I was a bit disappointed by the sisters' reaction too...especially Nikki's since she loves her Sona di quite a bit. Some little very optimistic part of me, though, is hoping for a scene with them at night once the bedsheet plot point is out of the way and Dev is back home. Nikki did signal something to him before he left, and I'd like to believe it was for a reason. InshaAllah.

As for the bedsheet thing in itself, I sort of see what the writers were aiming at, like a beginning of the many choices Dev is going to be making now that the two women in his life are attempting to build a new relationship with each other too, with him as the common denominator. But I have to admit that it was a bit over dramatised. I mean, it's a bedsheet. Just buy both and be done with it na. In an attempt to foreshadow their larger conceptual core, shayad thoda zyada ho gaya. 🤓

And yes, one thing I am decidedly missing is romance. Their scenes together were cute today, no doubt, but I was really hoping that making their relationship official would take things a step further in the romance department as well, rather than reducing it to something resembling friendly camaraderie. Theirs is still a new relationship, after all. It's not like they've been dating for years. The pally stuff is great, but I'd like to see some more love. Seriously.

How well you have hit the nail on the head. In an attempt to justfy Ish's reactions and to have the audience identify with her they now have Dev not being sensitive to the situation...Ultimately, no matter which gimmicks they use - first Ish overreaction to a common situation in most homes (irrespective of their special backstory) and now Dev's excessive need to have Sona with him all the time they cannot distract the audience. The audience will see it for what it is...a regular/real issue being dressed up in dramatic clothes..whereas I thought the show was about realistic treatment...

Their romance was more romantic when they were friends or in the initial 10 episodes after main confession episode. After that, its redundant, kiddish and lacks the warmth any two adults would have, even without being intimate.

There are some Pakistani dramas which do not even show couples hugging but from their conversation and glances you can deduce the stage of the relationship. I realize the creatives would like to pace themselves because they have to dangle the carrot of Dev/Sona romance for a long time but not at the cost of making their interactions seem at odds with the current relationship status...If they wanted to pace themselves, they should have dedicated 30 odd episodes to Dev falling in love with Sona and some more to mutual awareness prior to confession...

I also agree with your comment about Shaheer being Shaheer not Dev. Shaheer has an impish charm, Dev does not, or is not portrayed to be. He is the kind, matured and bold guy.

You are so right.

All in all, I am losing track of the story and if bedsheets, photos, halwa and all this becomes higher priority and goes on for days, I dont know if I'll be watching anymore.

Apart from mamiji's scenes none of the plot devices were typical earlier..episode after episode showcased fresh ideas, even regular plots like the love triangle were handled differently...Not sure why they are faltering where it really matters

Dont get me wrong. I love Sharica and Devakshi, but I did not start watching this serial for the story they have going on.

Yes, for Sharica I can watch SBS. I tuned into Kuch Rang to see the Dev of epi 76 romance Sona or the Dev of the dance episode...even the Dev during Natasha's track. ...

Hope CVs are listening.

Well that is the hope. Why else would we devote our time to these posts. We too want to celebrate and appreciate. Not fun to realize that there is a greater urge to point out flaws than applaud these days..This has been a lovely lovely show, creatives have shown immense capability for nuanced treatment and an ability to engage the audience without stressing then out..waiting for them to revert to that
