Classic film discussion:Maine pyar kiya

This is one of the most romantic films in bollywood purly because the lead pair Salman who was charming in playing the lovable Prem and clearly was the star of the film and his pretty leading lady Bhagyeshree who was simply elegent and carried a certain innocence to her performance made an impact with their chemistry which simply captivatd the audeinces hearts and the songs are evergreen my favourite is Khabuthar Ja, Dil dewaana 😳

I do. I love that movie and ofcourse my fav Salman Khan. He was sooooo adorable in that movie 😳 . I was 3 yrs old when that movie came and i love the songs since then. Thnx for making me remember that movie again. 😊 😊

Bhagyashri was bland and not to my taste, but the movie was mush mush and cuteeeeee... loved it!
should not be re-made.

song tune inspired from Final Countdown was my favorite ie. Mere rang meinI liked dil deewana male version also.

this film is a true classic! firstly it brought salman khan into centre stage of bollywood, so thats a good thing in itself (im sure salman fans would agree)

secondly it depicted typical young people conflicts, albeit in a filmy way. for example the smoking scene - showing the curiousity, experimentation that people of that age group go through. as well as this the whole friendship/love boundaries were explored

as for the soundtrack it was a craze (kabutar, dil deewana just a feww of the many songs i remember)

my favourite song is the antakshari scene where naraazgi and love between the lead pair are shown so innocently.

the story narrates that of prem and shows how he goes from being a boy to becoming a man all in the name of love.

it may seem cheesy now but the background score of "i love you" created that young love atmosphere and chemistry between salman and bhagyashreee

in terms of acting the lead pair did a fantastic job and the comedic element of lakshmikant berde was a good move. that guy was funny in both MPK and HAHK

the film summed up sooraj bharjatya's vision. pure, innocent, full of traditional values and ultimately an ode to love.

MPK is one of my favourite hindi films it ranks 2nd to HAHK so is in my top 3 hindi films

MPK dear me i have some horrendous shots of me wearing Simran type Salwar kameez's from the movie (i even bugged my mum to get me the Madhuri purple number from HAHK not that she ever did ), Simply love the movie i was just coming in to my teens and SK fulfilled the role of a teen crush to a tee, so hot so dashing and so humble, i like SK now too, but never like he was then, my first screen idol crush, they say you never forget your first love, i can say hand on heart that you never forget your first teenage crush either !!!!!
