Being a pundit in music is fine, you will always get the respect as a musician. With education one can improve in lots of areas esp. in today's age. To live in a world it's not just about you, one has to know the world around too. That's possible only through education to have better understanding of living life.

Do you know if Lata or Asha or Mohd Rafi or Kishore were educated or not?

I just looked at the video again. Adi clearly mentions that Kissi bhi language mei likhna ya podna nehi aha hain.

Please check this out at the end of the 2nd part of the video. In the 3rd part it is not that clear from the discussion.

I know what you mean, they are legends. Lata and Asha hardly had scope to go to school because they lost their father at an early age. Md. Rafi, I am not so sure about him. Kishore Kumar surely went to school and college, his father was an advocate.

You can't compare that age with current one, even if you are not so educated at that time there were many like them. But at this era when every one is getting education why lag behind if you are capable. It will always give you an added advantage in the form of confidence.

Talking about Amir Hafeez, he is not a drop-out but he is not so good he admitted. That's fine, every one can't be Einstein or Newton. But at least one should know the basics of education by continuing school and dream to go to college.
