I couldn't help but comment on your post, as I agree with you. I think her shows are different and unique and better than Ekta shows. However, like you said Gul does have a tendency to ruin her own stories. I didn't watch IPK regularly so I won't speak to that show. But I was an avid QH fan. I too loved Asad and Zoya's love story. You are right, their was depth to their relationship. Like you I too can not forgive Gul for ruining QH. It still makes me sad that they killed Asad and Zoya. Anyways I agree the concept of Ishbaaz is intriguing and I am enjoying the show so far. I hope she doesn't ruin this show like she ruined QH.

I feel ya, probably every QH fan would have same feelings, they grabbed in so many viewers and lost all to the extent that many don't even want to see the promo of their new shows. Ishqbaaz is her good chance to not to ruin the story for once. So far except for the editing part, the show is good and I am drawn in, let's see how far.

I have watched IPKKND and QH season one also Geet in bots.

I am a huge fan of Gul Khan. Keeping aside her tendency to ruin her own beautiful stories, the woman is charming and the best in TV in rom-coms. Whenever she tries to go the TRP route she will spoil everything, I always felt she is best for finite series. My first show of Gul is IPK, the best chemistry ever 4lions created. Among all her love stories Asad-Zoya is my favorite because it was not her regular arrogant rich man- ignorant poor girl story, she showed actual conversations and gradual growth in couple's relationship apart from fall-catch, eye locks but later the TRP race spoiled the story completely. hehe i think i am a gul/4 lions fan too..of course this is indian tv and thus being a part of it they have shown some pathetic/regressive/illogical stuff but they have shown good stuff too...and what i like is their progressive stuff isn't preachy you know..like ekta's would be..somewhere down the line gul's heroines become weak but their initial strong/progressive scenes are subtler and real...like zoya and her some of her dialogues which i can't remember now.

I so agree about her shows getting ruined if she infuses too much trp drama though(one of the reasons i think humsafars was so horrible)..so a finite web series with no requirements of trp is really the way for her imo...also the sarun fan in me gets so happy when they are referred to as the couple with the best chemistry out of all the 4 lions couples..of course quality wise arnav khushi and ipkknd really could/should have been better,she was just too obsessed with arnav and giving him the upperhand to bother about khushi:(

btw you don't like sanam aahil?i think the typical passionate 4 lions chemistry sanam aahil had more than asad zoya did.

Chemistry wise I liked Ahil Sanam better than Asad Zoya, but love storywise it's Asad Zoya, they weren't typical Gul couple, they had many conversations, Asad used to say sorry every time he misunderstood Zoya which inturn built up their relationship, they were more like the story of an orthodox man and tomboyish woman. One more reason could be that I relate to Zoya more as she was a flawed character, wasn't tidy, didn't know cooking, loud mouth etc.
Anyhow I honestly hope Ishqbaaz won't be ruined, it's a little filmy but still engaging. I am loving Surbhi Chandana.
